Form-finding And Cutting Pattern Analysis Of Tensile Membrane Structure

The design and analysis of Tensile Membrane has three steps. The first step is form finding; the second is load analysis; the last step is cutting pattern design. The first and the last step are the most important. In this paper, the author will emphases on these two steps. We will introduce nonlinear initial method, stress density method and dynamic relaxation method which are the most popular methods in our country. In this paper ,the author analyses the essence of these methods and find the problem in them. Then we introduce a new method, 'The Surface Stress Density Method'. Then we validate the validity and practicability of this new method. in addition, we introduce a new method of cutting pattern.
