Research On Green Innovation Performance Of Enterprises Under The Background Of Government Subsidies

For the first time,the 18 th National Congress raised “ecological progress” to the strategic height of national development.In 2015,the State Council issued the<China Manufacturing 2025> strategic program,proposing to adhere to innovation-driven and green manufacturing,Report of the State Council on 2019 said to promote the development of new energy vehicles and other emerging industries,a number of policies have led the auto industry to develop in the field of new energy vehicles.In this regard,the government also began to provide government subsidies for the R&D of NEV in 2001,and has continued to it up to now.In addition to the influence of other preferential policies,the government subsidies that have lasted for more than a decade are also one of the important factors affecting the green innovation and development of automobile enterprises.Under the advocacy of national policies,the NEV industry also got on the right track around 2014,with its market share increasing year by year.The field of NEV will definitely become the site that various major automobile companies compete for.Therefore,under such a background,there is a growing question: how has the green innovation performance of NEV enterprises changed after years of government subsidies?By means of case analysis and taking BYD as an example,this paper firstly introduces the development status of China's automobile industry,the company profile of BYD,the status quo of BYD's government subsidies and green innovation performance.Then,a green innovation performance evaluation system is constructed to analyze the changes of BYD's green innovation performance under the government subsidies from the two dimensions of green innovation process performance and green innovation output performance.Finally,through the above analysis,this paper concludes that government subsidies have improved the performance of BYD's green innovation,but it is not prominent enough.Besides,some suggestions are put forward that BYD should improve the information disclosure and internal supervision mechanism of government subsidies,improve the efficiency of green research and development output and strengthen the awareness of independent innovation.It is hoped that the research in this paper can provide reference for BYD and other Chinese automobile enterprises.
