Optimization Of Internal Audit Process In Municipal Northwest Design Institute

Municipal Northwest Design Institute is a large-scaled cross-industry and cross-regional design institute,which already has a certain degree of competitiveness and influence in its industry.However,along with the change of market and the development of industry,the company faces more and more external challenges.The reform of enterprise internal system and the change of management concept also put forward higher requirements for the internal management level of the company.How to improve the management level of the enterprise has become an urgent problem to be solved.After years of development,internal audit has become an important way to improve the level of enterprise management and control.There are some problems in the internal audit process of Municipal Northwest Design Institute,which restrict the high quality development of the company’s internal audit.This paper focuses on the optimization of internal audit process in Municipal Northwest Design Institute.Using the method of questionnaire and interview,the problems of internal audit process of Municipal Northwest Design Institute were diagnosed.These problems include oversimplified audit plan,insufficient audit preparation and on-site audit,lack of valuable audit recommendations,insufficient supervision of follow-up audit rectification.Throughout in-depth analysis,we found that the causes of the problems are as follows:unreasonable staffing,outdated audit concept,inadequate personnel training,and imperfect organizational structure.To solve the above problems,this paper puts forward the corresponding optimization principles and objectives,as well as specific optimization schemes,from the four stages of audit plan,audit implementation,audit report and follow-up supervision,and constructs a new internal audit business process.In order to ensure the smooth implementation of the new process,the safeguard measures of personnel,system and technology are further put forward.This study has three meanings: firstly,it is conducive to standardizing the internal audit process of Municipal Northwest Design Institute,thereby improving thequality of internal audit work;secondly,it is conducive to finding problems of company management through internal audit,and taking appropriate measures to solve them,to promote the improvement of company management level;thirdly,it is conducive to providing reference to the internal audit of other design enterprises in Northwest China.
