| Mrauk-U Ancient City in Rakhine State,Myanmar was once the capital of the powerful Rakhine Kingdom in 1430-1785.The governors and most residents are Buddhists.The number of Buddhist buildings owned by Mrauk U is just less than the ancient city of Bagan in Myanmar.According to the archaeological department,there are more than 3,000 Buddhist buildings in Mrauk-U,but less than 150 of them are protected and repaired.Therefore,this research hopes to help the further protection,development,research,and application of the Buddhist architecture in Mrauk-U.From the perspective view of history and regional background,the ancient city of Mrauk-U is a key node in the history of the spread of Buddhism culture and maritime trade in the world.The systematic and in-depth study of its Buddhist architectural features help to deeply know the communication path of Buddhism culture and Buddhist architecture.Understanding has a pioneering significance in studying the process of the spread and evolution of Buddhist architectural features and its interaction with regional culture.This article has a total of five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,including the background of the subject,the research object and content,the research summary and the research method route.The second chapter analyzes the historical materials and combines the regional environment in which Mrauk-U is located,based on the economic and trade exchanges of the Bay of Bengal,from history and space.This paper discusses the development and evolution of Buddhism culture and its art in Mrauk-U ancient city.The third chapter analyzes the site selection and architectural form of Buddhist architecture through field investigation and examples,and discusses the style of Mrauk-U Buddhist architecture under the regional culture of Myanmar.The fourth chapter further discuss the constituent elements and construction characteristics of the single building through the analysis of the Buddhist architecture of the Mrauk-U ancient city in Rakhine State,Myanmar.The fifth chapter analyzes the preservation status of the Mrauk-U Buddhist architecture and tries to propose the Buddhist architecture Protection principles and methods of protection for the ancient city of Mrauk-U.The main body of the text contains more than 60,000 texts,78 pictures,and 20 tables. |
