With the steady advancement of “highway to railway” pace,the transportation of a large number of raw rock has been converted from road transportation to railway transportation,and the problem of loading and securing of the raw rock in transportation has also drawn more and more public attention.The safety and effectiveness of loading and securing is the top priority of railway cargo transportation.In recent years,due to the advantages of convenient securing,convenient return,repeated use,and low cost,etc.,in addition to the same model of raw rock pallet with straw support cushion which can be applied to a variety of specifications of raw rock,the railway transportation pallet of raw rock has been more and more favored by the major quarrying and processing companies.In order to ensure the transportation safety of the raw rock,it is necessary to adopt a reasonable loading and securing scheme,and design a railway transportation pallet of raw rock that can meet the actual transportation needs.In the actual static strength and impact test,it needs to rely on experience to judge the dangerous section and key points,which is uncertain,while the finite element analysis can well simulate the stress of the raw rock pallet under different working conditions,especially the stress distribution and its size of the whole raw rock pallet under the most unfavorable working conditions,so as to provide a basis for further improvement and optimization of the design of the raw rock pallet.In this paper,the raw rock simple provided by Kunming Yishang Logistics Co.,Ltd.was taken as the research object to design the pallet,and the following steps were completed:(1)Understand the research status and determine research ideasThrough understanding the research status of the raw rock pallet and the finite element analysis,the finite element analysis method was adopted to calculate the working stress of the pallet under the most unfavorable working conditions.(2)Design the railway transportation pallet of raw rock and its loading and securing schemeThe specifications of the raw rock to be transported were analyzed,the transportation car were determined,and the loading and securing scheme of the raw rock were conceived.Based on the summarized loading and securing principles,the design of the loading and securing scheme was carried out,the type of the pallet was determined,the preliminary design of the pallet was conducted in combination with the design principles of the pallet,the stress condition and stability of the raw rock pallet were calculated and analyzed,the model of raw rock pallet was established by Solid Works and the loading and securing plan was designed.(3)Finite element analysis of the strength of the palletANSYS was used for the finite element analysis of the most unfavorable working conditions of the raw rock pallet,the equivalent stress cloud diagram and the total deformation cloud diagram were obtained,and the weak parts of each component of the raw rock pallet under the most unfavorable working conditions were clearly understood.(4)Improve the raw rock palletThrough the improvement of the structure and material of the pallet,such as adding the number of transverse beams and longitudinal beams,designing the connected structure,increasing the number of supports,increasing the interval beam,and replacing the material,etc.,the strength of the raw rock pallet was strengthened,so that the strength and structure were designed to meet transportation safety demand,and the loading and securing problem of the raw rock during the railway gondola car transportation can be solved.
