The museum has an excellent collection of historical relics, which is an important institution to providesocial education and cultural services to the public. In recent years, the development of cultural and creative industries in China has brought not only economic benefits but also unpredictable cultural benefits. In this context,China has issued a number of regulations to encourage the museum to fully explore the cultural connotation of the collections in the museum, and to develop the derivatives with the combination of cultural creativityandtourismindustryto enhance the hematopoietic function of museums. In this context, the literature on the research and development of museum derivatives has sprung up,to the best of my knowledge, many researchers focus on the research and development of museum relics as the source of derivatives, the major issue is the development and design of cultural creative products based on the cultural resources of the museum. From the perspective of the research, this paper reflects on the derivatives which are developed from the exhibitions held by the museums.Thepurpose of the research is to establish an evaluation mechanism for derivatives by sorting out the development of exhibitions, art, and culture, also to consider the follow-up functions of derivatives,so as to provide a new perspective for the design and development of museum derivatives. The emphasis of this thesis is to explore the interactive relationship between derivatives R&D and exhibition based on the scene theory, the scene theory proposed by the Chicago school is a new theory to study the development paradigm of urban culture, the cultural values contained in the scene have a "sticky" effect on people, attracting people to have emotional experience and then stimulating the consumption practice, under the guidance of scene theory, explore the mutual construction relationship between derivatives and exhibition,as well as explore a new perspective of developing creative derivatives from the view of museum exhibition cultural content. The literature analysis, case analysis, field research, and interview were applied during the research.Adetailed analysis and research on the relationship between exhibition development and derivatives was investigated. In addition, the authoralso went to the Taipei Palace Museum,Chongqing Three Gorges museum,Shanghai museum,Liuzhou museum, and other museums for field visits and interviews with relevant staff, obtained a wealth of first-hand information, which laying a theoretical and practical foundation for the research. The second chapter of this thesisbegins to explore the evolution of the research and development of derivatives in domestic(and foreign)museums, the third chapter studies the interactive relationship between scene theory and museum exhibition, the fourth chapter deeply explores the interactive relationship between derivatives and museum exhibition, the fifth chapter focuses on the realization of the mechanism/optimization path of the mutual construction relationship between museum exhibition and derivatives, also explores the sustainable development for it.Finally, this thesis concludes that exhibitions held by museums provide cultural materials for derivative design, and derivatives also supplement the contents of exhibitions at the same time, derivatives are not only the "stealer" of museum exhibition cultural resources, but also the "constructer" of it,the research and development of derivatives based on museum exhibition act as creative resources is a new innovation point of museum creative research and development cultural as well as creative products.
