A large number of pumped storage power stations have been built in cold regions in china for the purpose of making full use of regional water resources and flood control and storage.Like conventional reservoirs,the reservoir area of PSPS in winter has to face the problem of freezing,The difference is mainly caused by the change of water level during the operation of pumped storage power station in winter.However,the process and reason of ice cover bending deformation until the final breakup is different from that of conventional reservoirs,which is due to the winter PSPS.At present,there is relatively little research on ice cover breakup in the reservoir area of PSPS.On this basis,the research on the mechanical mechanism of ice cover under dynamic water condition during the operation of the power station is even less.Most of the existing research results are based on the observation and description of the ice cover growth and decline in the reservoir area of the PSPS.Therefore,it is of great significance to analyze the ice cover breakup mechanism of PSPS in cold area for understanding the ice cover breaking process and ice damage prevention under dynamic water condition.Based on the theory of elastic thin plate,this paper analyzes the process of ice cover breaking in the process of water filling and discharging of PSPS,uses the principle of energy conservation to connect the force on ice cover with the operation mode of power station,and obtains the relationship between the total lifting force and the flow rate and other parameters of power station when the ice cover breakup due to the the reservoir water filling in the elastic state.Based on the limit state of ice material,the discriminant of critical total uplift force and the expression of the critical thickness of ice cover in the reservoir area caused by the reservoir water discharging of the power station are obtained.Through the above research content,we can better understand the ice cover breakup process and mechanism of PSPS in winter,and provide a reference for the study of ice cover mechanical problems under different working conditions in the reservoir area.At the same time,in the theoretical analysis,it has certain reference significance for the power station to reduce the freezing damage in the reservoir area by winter dispatching.
