In recent years,with the rapid development of hybrid vehicles,higher requirements have been required on the efficiency and high reliability of the motor.In order to meet the demand of high reliability and constant voltage in a wide range of speed,this paper proposes a new type of double salient generator whose magnetic path is parallel.The design difficulty lies in the design of the parallel magnetic circuit structure,and the innovation of the architecture lies in that the permanent magnet is placed in the stator slot,and the rotor is a simple salient pole structure.So it is suitable for high speed and high temperature operation.The 1k W hybrid excitation doubly salient generator with separate windings(HEDSGSW)is designed by comparing the specific technical indicators of the current popular vehicle generators on the market.Firstly,this article reviews the development process of automotive generators,and summarizes the current research consequence of hybrid excitation motors.On this basis,it proposes this new type of double salient generator whose magnetic path is parallel.Based on the magnetic path model,the characteristics of the magnetic path,operation principle and power generation method of the motor are analyzed,and the no-load back EMF is analyzed and calculated based on the magnetomotive force-air gap ratio permeance method.Secondly,the no-load characteristics and operating characteristics of the motor are studied.The influential factors of the generator voltage regulation are analyzed in depth.By changing the motor axial length,air gap length,and armature winding turns,the relationship between the motor's AC and DC axis armature reaction reactance and the voltage adjustment rate is studied.The relationship between the salient pole ratio and the external characteristics is studied,and then the basic characteristics of the motor such as adjustment characteristics and loss characteristics is studied too.Then,on the basis of summarizing and analyzing the design principles of the motor,the design process and method of the hybrid excitation doubly salient generator are proposed.And the electromagnetic design of this motor is carried out according to the design indicators.Then the designed motor is optimized by using finite element analysis,and compared with the claw pole generator in terms of magnetic circuit structure,output capability,temperature rise characteristics,and safety performance.Finally,in order to ensure the stable operation of the motor in a safe temperature range,a three-dimensional finite element analysis of the temperature rise of each component of the motor is carried out,the range of temperature is obtained,and the temperature rise is normal and stable to the motor.The conclusion is that the temperature rise has less influence on the operation of the motor.
