Basalt fiber reinforced polymer cement concrete is a kind of cement-based materials and developed rapidly in recent years.It has excellent tensile and bending strength,crack resistance,permeability and frost-resistance,impact resistance and has been successfully applied to military,water conservancy,construction,airports,roads,and other fields.In the field of highway construction,basalt fiber reinforced polymer cement concrete is usually applied on the surfacing layers.When the polymer emulsion is added in concrete,a polymer film is formed in some areas of the interface between cement particles and their hydrates,or aggregates and fibers.The polymer film has an obvious effect on reducing the possibility of the generation and propagation of internal cracks in concrete.The existence of interfacial transition layer makes the internal structure of concrete closely combined.It can reduce the stress concentration caused by mutation of materials effectively,and improve the mechanical properties and long-term performance significantly.As a kind of pavement material,basalt fiber polymer cement concrete can improve pavement performance,increase the compressive strength of pavement and bridge deck,and extend its service life.In this research,the mechanical properties and durability tests of concrete were performed,and the mix ratio of C50 basalt polymer cement concrete for bridge deck pavement was proposed.In addition,comparing with the practical engineering,the construction technology of basalt fiber polymer cement concrete bridge deck pavement is investigated.The effects of basalt fiber and polymer on the mechanical properties,working properties and durability of ordinary concrete were studied.The results of this research can be concluded as follow: 1)The addition of basalt fiber and styrene butadiene emulsion polymer decreases the early compressive strength of concrete slightly,but has no effect on 28 d compressive strength;the flexural strength and splitting strength of concrete can be improved obviously.2)The mixed content of basalt fiber and polymer emulsion can improve the dry shrinkage performance and chloride ion resistance permeability of concrete,but there is a reasonable content range for the improvement of dry shrinkage performance and chloride ion resistance permeability of concrete.3)The morphology and microstructure characteristics of the interface transition zone of basalt fiber polymer cement concrete were anal yzed,and the improvement mechanism of basalt fiber and polymer on the performance of cement concrete was studied.4)The construction technology of basalt fiber polymer cement concrete bridge deck pavement was obtained through the paving of the test secti on of cement concrete bridge deck pavement.
