Double salient machine is developed on the basis of switched reluctance machine.The evolution process is from doubly salient permanent machine,doubly salient hybrid excitation machine to doubly salient electro-magnetic machine.Doubly salient electro-magnetic machine inherits the advantages of simple structure and reliable operation of switched reluctance machine.By introducing DC excitation winding,comparing with the doubly salient permanent machine,the permanent magnet is eliminated,the excitation regulation is more convenient,and the de-excitation is easy.Therefore,it has important application prospects in the fields of aerospace,new energy power generation and electric vehicles.In this paper,the development history and research status of doubly salient machine are described,and the development direction and research progress of doubly salient electro-magnetic machine are summarized.Firstly,the basic structure of the four-phase doubly salient electro-magnetic machine is studied and its working principle is analyzed in detail.Four-phase doubly salient electro-magnetic machine adopts distributed excitation winding to produce symmetrical phase magnetic circuit.Armature winding adopts double winding structure,two sets of armature winding are independent from each other and do not interfere with each other.According to the different positions of armature winding,ANSYS-Maxwell is used to establish the upper and lower structure of the armature winding and the inner and outer structure of the armature winding of the 12/9 pole four-phase woundfield doubly salient electro-magnetic machine with distributed magnetomotive forces.The finite element simulation analysis of two kinds of four-phase doubly salient electro-magnetic motor with different armature winding structures is carried out to determine the basic structural parameters of the motors.Secondly,the four-phase doubly salient electro-magnetic machine has two sets of armature winding,the first set of armature winding is A1,the second set of armature winding is A2.The electromagnetic characteristics of two sets of armature windings with different generation modes are analyzed,the power generation modes of two different armature winding double salient machine are determined,A1 adopts the rotor slip out of the stator pole power generation method,A2 adopts the rotor sliding into the stator pole power generation method.Finally,according to the simulation results,an experimental prototype is made and an experimental platform is built for verification.The experimental results verify the correctness of the theoretical analysis of the structure of four-phase wound-field doubly salient electro-magnetic machine with distributed magnetomotive forces.It provides a reference for the design of this kind of machine.
