Abstract/Summary:
The four-phase Doubly Salient Electro-Magnetic Machine has advantages of small torque rippleand high power density and so on, compared with the three-phase motor. In this paper, four-phaseDoubly Salient Generator as the subjects is studied in detail from the basic characteristics, nonlinearmodel, and capacitance compensation and so on.Firstly, the basic structure and working principle of the four-phase Doubly SalientElectro-Magnetic Generator is introduced. The static parameters and basic characteristics of the motorare analyzed by using the finite element software. The unload characteristics, external characteristicsand power characteristics under different power generation modes are compared. Further experimentsare given to verify the correctness of the simulation.Secondly, this paper introduces a method to establish a nonlinear model of Doubly SalientElectro-Magnetic Generator based on3d magnetic chain table lookup. On the basis of getting thestatic flux data through finite element simulation, the model of the motor is established by usingMATLAB/SIMULINK module. The simulation results of this model are compared with finite elementsimulation, which proves the validity and accuracy of the model.A full-bridge rectifier power generation mode with parallel capacitor compensation on the basisof the full-bridge rectifier power generation mode is proposed. And then the basis of capacitancevalue and the appropriate values is given. The unload and load waveform of the four-phase DoublySalient Electro-Magnetic Generator under the new power generation mode are analyzed by using thefinite element software, compared with ordinary full-bridge rectifier power generation in the sameload conditions.Finally, the experimental verification of the simulation analysis is given. The results show thatthe full-bridge rectifier power generation mode with parallel capacitor compensation can significantlyimprove the motor output power.
