W is a company specializing in the typical small and medium-sized manufacturing machinery manufacturing company,the company set up production rapidly increased in the recent ten years,the scale continues to expand,but the existing performance management level have already restricted the development of the company,especially existing in the current personnel performance management,such as the missing link of performance management,performance appraisal target is not reasonable,the lack of feedback and communication problems,therefore,on the problems existing in the current performance management of W company,build can meet the demand of company's development strategy and business performance management system,and help enterprises to achieve business objectives,it is very necessary.After studying the theory and methods of performance management,this paper firstly selects the key performance indicator method to design the performance management system of W company,and constructs the framework of performance management system of W company,including performance plan,performance implementation,performance assessment,performance feedback and performance improvement.Secondly,focusing on the strategic objectives of the enterprise,the key performance areas of W company were determined,KPI indicators at the company,department and employee levels were established and corresponding assessment standards were established by using fish-bone diagram and SMART principle,forming a dynamic and sustainable performance management system.Then,from the performance plan,assessment,feedback,results application and other aspects of W company performance management system implementation plan;Finally,the paper discusses the guarantee measures for the effective operation of the system,including the establishment of performance management committee,the definition of the responsibility of performance managers,and the improvement of performance assessment and training.In this paper,the key performance index method is used to design the performance management system,which can help enterprises transform the strategic objectives into quantifiable business indicators and employee performance indicators.Combined with individual performance,strategic objectives enable employees toclarify the relationship between individual work tasks and performance results and the overall strategy of the organization,so as to stimulate the vitality of the enterprise and employees.At the same time,the performance management system of W company is designed for the reference of other small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises,so that performance management can play a greater role in serving the organizational strategy.
