Research On The Relationship Between New And Old Space In The Reconstruction And Extension Of Museum

Since the 20th century,the museum has entered the peak of construction.It is not only regarded as the holy place of art and culture in the city by those who are keen on art,but also a landmark building attracting tourists.It is the witness of urban construction and the booster of economic development.Today,the architectural space of most museums is far from meeting the increasing demands of the public and administrators,and its space limitations greatly limit the role of museums.In response to this situation,more and more museums meet their incremental needs in space development through reconstruction and expansion.Such design practices have also become a hot topic in the field of architectural design and are worthy of in-depth research.At present,domestic scholars have few researches on the relationship between old and new spaces in the subject of museum renovation and expansion.In my opinion,how to deal with the relationship between new and old spaces in construction touches the core of the renovation and expansion of museums.Therefore,this article focuses on the characteristics of museum architecture,combined with a large number of classic cases at home and abroad that have been completed to deeply analyze the relationship between the old and new spaces in the renovation and expansion of the museum,based on the relevant theories of spatial sequence and spatial plot,and takes the old and new buildings from inside to outside The research and analysis of the spatial relationship is the core,and the specific reconstruction and expansion design methods are summarized,trying to provide future generations with a reference design method and ideas for grasping the relationship between the old and new spaces in the museum reconstruction and expansion project.The whole paper is divided into three parts.The first part is the first three chapters,which is to ask questions and explain the cause and significance of the researchThe second part is the fourth chapter.This part is based on the spatial sequence logic from the outside to the inside to analyze the new and old spaces in the expansion of the museum.Through a large number of built examples at home and abroad to conduct a logical summary,to get a specific design method,that is,to analyze the problem.The third part is the fifth chapter,using the research results of the fourth chapter to deduce,analyze and evaluate the design of the reconstruction and expansion of the Xi'an Beilin Museum's new building,that is,the theoretical guidance practice link.Finally,combined with the full text,it summarizes the current trends of museum renovation and expansion and some revelations about the relationship between new and old spaces in domestic museum renovation and expansion.
