In this paper,the key components of the small railway track sand removal vehicle developed by the research group are the sand collection shovel.In order to improve the performance and prolong the service life of the sand shovel,the surface engineering technology is used to perform plasma cladding treatment on the surface of the sand shovel,and research is carried out using a combination of experiments and numerical simulation.The following research work is carried out in this paper:(1)In this paper,a sample of plasma cladding is made.The cladding layer is sampled by point sweeping,and the energy spectrum is detected at each sampling point.The uniformity of the cladding was verified by comparing the element content at each sampling point with the content of the initial cladding material.This chapter evaluates the performance of cladding layers of different materials from the perspective of microstructure.The wear resistance,hardness,and impact properties of the cladding layer samples are analyzed through various mechanical property tests.It is concluded that the microhardness of the Ni-based alloy cladding layer is higher than that of the Co-based alloy cladding layer,and the abrasion resistance of the samples after the cladding of the two metal alloys is significantly improved.(2)This chapter simplifies the structure of the existing sand removing shovel,and establishes the three-dimensional modeling,discrete element analysis model and finite element analysis model of the sand shovel.In this chapter,45 steel is used as the base,and Ni-based alloy and Co-based alloy are used as the cladding layers to establish the basic model of the sand collecting shovel.Discrete element software EDEM is used to simulate the movement of sand when the sand shovel is working and outputs the force load of sand at a certain moment in the end.This section uses the coupled plug-in to import the finite element analysis software Ansys Workbench for stress and deformation analysis,at the same time,uses the fatigue analysis software n Code Design-Life to estimate the fatigue life of the sand shovel under a predetermined state.The above analysis shows that both types of cladding sand shovel can meet their static performance requirements.Under the loading of different alloy cladding layers,the stress concentration effect of the substrate is reduced to varying degrees.At the same time,Co-based cladding layer can improve the fatigue life of the surface of the sand shovel more than Ni and cladding layer.(3)This section investigates the effect of different cladding thicknesses on the performance of sand traps and the static analysis of straight and curved blade sand traps.The performance of the sand shovel with two thickness cladding layers is analyzed and evaluated from the aspects of stress,deformation,fatigue life and fatigue wear.The final conclusion indicates that the Co-based cladding layer has the best effect of reducing stress concentration under curved blade conditions,and can better protect the surface of the sand-shovel.
