Aiming at the problem of sand accumulation on railway tracks in desert areas,a new type of track sand removal vehicle that can improve the efficiency of removing sand and decrease labor intensity was developed by the research group.In this thesis,the key components of the track sand removal vehicle were studied,the sand-collection and removal structures were designed and calculated,the connection device was analyzed by FEM,and the kinematic characteristics of sand in the collecting and removing process was researched by the coupling simulation of software EDEM-ADAMS.The research results can be used in the manufacture of the track sand removal vehicle,and on-line test.The specific research content of the thesis is as follows:1.An investigation about the sand accumulation distribution of the railway lines in the desert area was carried out,and the technical indicators of the design were formulated,which was taking push plate and hopper to collect the sand and the conveyor belt to remove the sand.2.A three-dimensional model of the sand collection and removal system was established,and some important parts of the equipment were designed and calculated,some components were selected and checked.This ensured that the sand can drop on the conveyor belt normally and the amount of removed-sand much larger than the amount of collected-sand,and the conveyor belt will not accumulate too much sand.3.The structure of the connection device was designed and a FEM analysis was carried out to ensure that the static strength of the connection device was sufficient during the working process of the sand removal vehicle.Meanwhile,a coupling simulation of EDEM-Workbench was adopted for the hopper to obtain the stress-strain cloud diagram,which indicated that the force of the hopper meet the material strength requirement.4.The modeling of the sand-collect device was carried out.In EDEM,the particle bed was established and particle simulation was performed.The motion parameters of the model were set in ADAMS,and the coupling simulation of EDEM-ADAMS for the sand-collecting device was performed.By which,the dynamic characteristics of the particles were obtained,and the sand collection and removal effect was researched and the force of the hopper was analyzed.5.The track sand removal vehicle was trial-produced in-school,and the working effect was simulated and online test was conducted.The results showed that the developed track sand removal vehicle got a better result on sand collecting removing,and the sand removal performance exceeded the required technical targets.
