Research On The Relationship Evolution Between Jingzhou Ancient City And Regional Water Conservancy System

This paper mainly studies the relationship between Jingzhou Ancient City and regional water conservancy system.Jingzhou Ancient City is located in the hinterland of Jianghan Plain.The river network system is closely related to the development of Jingzhou City.The environment of urban water system has a profound impact on the origin of ancient Jingzhou City.In different historical periods,through the combination of water conservancy construction of natural water system,a water network system with internal and external connections and a perfect water conservancy system have been formed,and comprehensive functions such as urban flood control,agricultural irrigation,business development and military defense have been realized.Jingzhou Ancient City still has a relatively complete urban pattern.Depending on the water system,Jingzhou Ancient City has formed a unique regional landscape.Based on the research and arrangement of historical documents,archaeological achievements and on-the-spot investigation,this paper analyzes the superposition of historical satellite maps,mapping maps and ancient maps.This paper speculates the evolution of water conservancy system in different periods,combs all types of water conservancy construction,and discusses the influence of natural and social environment changes on the evolution of water conservancy system.This paper discusses the relationship between water conservancy construction and city from four aspects: River defense construction and city flood control,farmland water conservancy and agricultural production,canal construction and city commerce,military water conservancy and city safety.Research on the formation of regional landscape with water as the core.Combined with the current situation of the water conservancy system in Jingzhou Ancient City,the protection and development suggestions are put forward.Water conservancy system maintained the operation of ancient Jingzhou City.By combing the development of water environment and water conservancy construction in ancient Jingzhou City,we can see the evolution of urban water relationship from a more comprehensive perspective,and then summarize the historical wisdom of ancient Jingzhou City in the construction of human settlements environment,so as to provide useful reference for future urban construction.
