Guo Shoujing’s Water Conservancy Thought And Its Social Influence

At present,socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era.The level of science and technology in China has been improved rapidly,and the level of water conservancy project construction has been greatly improved.However,in terms of future economic and social development and modernization requirements,there are still some problems in the construction of water conservancy infrastructure in China.It is of great significance to study the construction of water conservancy project of Guo Shoujing,a famous Water Conservancy Engineer in Yuan Dynasty of China,summarize Guo Shoujing’s water conservancy thought,and apply Guo Shoujing’s water conservancy thought to today’s water conservancy project construction,which will guide the current water conservancy practice,improve the construction of water conservancy infrastructure,promote the development of the nation and the prosperity of the country.Guo Shoujing is a famous Water Conservancy Engineer,astronomer and mathematician in Yuan Dynasty.He has made outstanding achievements in water conservancy,astronomy,mathematics,geography,surveying and mapping,mechanical engineering,etc.Guo Shoujing devoted his whole life to the construction of water conservancy projects,and his water conservancy construction basically covered all the important rivers of the Yuan Dynasty.As Guo Shoujing has not made a systematic discussion on the water conservancy thought,this paper will sort out,classify and summarize the specific water conservancy project construction of Guo Shoujing,and summarize the main content and characteristics of Guo Shoujing’s water conservancy thought,so as to deeply analyze its social impact and Enlightenment to the present era,and carry out a systematic research on Guo Shoujing’s water conservancy thought.This paper is divided into four parts;the first part of the paper analyzes the research significance,research status,research methods and innovation of the paper.The second part introduces the background of Guo Shoujing’s water conservancy thought from the aspects of political economy,science and culture,enlightenment education,teachers and friends.The third part discusses Guo Shoujing’s main water conservancy thoughts and practice from three aspects: focusing on investigation,focusing on key points,scientific planning scheme,seeking new for the old,adapting measures to local conditions,benefiting the people with technology,daring to be the first,daring to create and realizing independent innovation.The fourth part mainly analyzes the social influence of Guo Shoujing’s water conservancy thought,and expounds the Enlightenment of Guo Shoujing’s water conservancy thought to the present era.There are three innovations in this paper: first,the innovation of perspective,based on the summary of previous research results,using the new perspective of the history of science and technology,to study Guo Shoujing’s water conservancy project construction;second,through combing and studying Guo Shoujing’s specific water conservancy project practice,to re extract and summarize Guo Shoujing’s water conservancy thought;third,to summarize Guo Shoujing’s water conservancy thought Want to extract and sum up,the systematic analysis of the social impact of his ideas and the specific inspiration for the current social water conservancy construction.
