An Analysis Of The Temporal-spatial Evolution Of Harbin Architectural Style In Modern Times(1898—1945)

After the Opium War,western powers and civilizations came one after another,and China was forced to open its door and began the process of modern times.Harbin is located in the northeast of China.At the end of the 19 th century,Harbin shifted to the colonial period under the influence of the railway construction in the Middle East,thus opening a new process of modern urban construction.By political background,ups and downs,the evolution of urban social economic fluctuations and other factors,a large number of immigrants from Harbin,are intertwined with a variety of cultural dissemination,the most important is to make a variety of style of architecture,the influence of a variety of functions type of construction to emerge,Harbin for decades by the frontier Cun Tun rapidly into a famous international metropolis,constitute the unique space-time evolution pattern.This paper aims to sort out the number of sample buildings,the number of buildings with different styles and their grades through statistical analysis.By means of superposition analysis,gravity center analysis and density analysis,the spatial and temporal distribution evolution process of different architectural styles of Harbin in modern times is presented and the rule characteristics are summarized with the help of GIS platform and visual language.First of all,this paper explains the origin of modern architectural culture in Harbin.Modern Harbin has unique cultural location attribute and diversified architectural culture genes.With the mutual integration of western architectural culture and local traditional architectural culture,modern architectural culture with rich connotations has been formed in Harbin.According to the society,economy,urban planning background,the Harbin modern architectural culture evolution can be divided into four periods,divide the time node is as follows:in 1898,is the beginning of modern Harbin,Harbin in 1907 began opening wharfs,in 1920 the Chinese government jurisdiction of the Middle East railway to gradually recover,Japan in 1932 to occupy of Harbin,modern the end of the year for Harbin in1945.This paper examines the development process of Harbin’s modern culture from the perspective of political power,immigration and function,and extracts the driving forces of Harbin’s modern culture evolution,such as modern geopolitics,immigration wave and modern art trend of thought.Second space-time distribution pattern of architectural style,this paper mainly based on the historical building of Harbin has a total of five times the census data,collect data,the basis of this study is based on database,dimensions of time and space distribution pattern of modern historic buildings schematization analysis,combining the historical documents information at the same time,the formation of the combination of qualitative and quantitative methods,objective and scientific analytical time and space distribution pattern evolution of modern architecture,summarizes the distribution of the architectural culture area,different style of urban space.Finally,based on the characteristics of the spatial and temporal distribution evolution process of architectural style,it is concluded that the time evolution has the characteristics of continuity,diversity and multiple intersecting lines.To sum up,through literature research,statistical analysis,GIS analysis and other research methods,this paper comprehensively discusses and summarizes the architectural culture of Harbin.In order to make people have a clear and comprehensive understanding of the temporal and spatial evolution of modern architectural style of Harbin from a new perspective,the scientific and rigorous quantitative model is used.
