With the constant rise of urbanization level in China and the continuous improvement of people's quality of life, more and more attention has been paid to the quality improvement of urban public space, and citizens have put forward higher requirements for the quality of urban public space. As an important role in urban public space, urban park plays an increasingly important role in improving urban ecological environment and enriching citizens' life.As an important part of the park environment--soundscape,more and more attention has been paid to and studied, which plays an increasingly important role in creating a public space that meets the needs of users. However, due to the free opening of urban parks and the influence of traditional concepts, the value of park soundscape is difficult to manifest. As a result, the decision-making of park construction lacks interest driving force, and the lack of sound landscape design in park planning and design results in poor auditory experience of tourists and weak public awareness, which ultimately affects the spatial quality and sustainable development of urban parks. Therefore, the research on the value of urban park soundscape is an urgent problem in urban park planning and design.Based on the above background and actual needs, this paper takes Harbin children's park as an example to study the value of soundscape in urban parks.Firstly, this paper analyzes the current situation and existing problems of urban park soundscape in China, expounds the basic theory of soundscape value, constructs the framework of willingness to pay for the improvement of park soundscape based on CVM,and discusses the specific application method and calculation model. Then, taking Harbin children's park as an example, this paper analyzes the current situation of its use and its scenery, conducts research according to the research framework, and obtains data. Then, the willingness to pay is quantitatively evaluated, and its influencing factors and spatial distribution characteristics are analyzed,so as to provide a favorable basis for the improvement of soundscape in urban parks. The results show that :(1)the improvement value of children's park soundscape is huge,up to 33.72 yuan /(person/year),with a total value of more than 50 million yuan, and the improvement of park soundscape will have a very positive impact on its value;(2)the variables that have significant influence on the amount of willingness to pay(WTP value)are: gender(regression coefficient-0.484,p < 0.05),monthly income(regression coefficient-0.626,p < 0.01),whether the vistor is a resident of the region(regression coefficient-0.626,p < 0.05)and harmony environmental comfort(regression coefficient-0.527,p < 0.01).(3)the values of different leading sound sources, sound levels and functional zones are also different.Correspondingly, the improvement values of cultural sound scenic spots, lively areas and sports activity areas are the largest. On the whole, the improvement value of sound source is the largest, accounting for 72.3% of the total value, among which, the improvement value of natural sound and electric music is larger. The feasibility of applying CVM to the evaluation of urban park soundscape value has been proved by the research, and the corresponding improvement strategies have been preliminarily proposed, which can provide effective reference for the public decision-making of urban park environment improvement design in the future. At the same time,it also enhances citizens' subjective awareness to better maintain a good soundscape environment, which is of great significance to the realization of a good city life and will eventually promote the healthy and sustainable development of urban park construction in China.
