Study On The Boundary Space Morphology Of Xi’an Ming City Residential And Street

Chinese cities are in a new period of planning reform,opening up a new situation of people-oriented and refined management.Spatial planning guided by organic development and quality improvement has become the main trend of urban renewal construction.As a basic living space for urban residents,urban residential areas must not only meet the basic internal living requirements,but also maintain good contact with the urban giant system.The Residential boundary is the main connection of settlements to the outside world,and it is also an abstract and concrete type that generally exists in the urban boundary system,reflecting many problems in China’s contemporary urban development and settlement construction.The residential—street boundary space is the key place connecting the Living space and the city,and also a medium of communication between residential areas and cities—a place with rich activities for life and leisure.Space is divided according to boundaries,and it is easy to trigger diversified activities at the boundaries.Boundary space belongs to the category of urban morphology research.At present,the research related to urban boundary space mainly stays at the macro level.There are many studies on the boundary between suburbs and urban areas,but relatively few studies on the medium and micro scale.The Settlement boundary and the architectural boundary belong to the research content at the micro level.They are not only the intermediary space of the city,but also take part of the functions of the residents’ lives.It avoids the contradiction caused by the ambiguous space definition and brings people a sense of psychological security.Based on the existing analysis results of the inner settlements and streets,this article conducts a phased and time-phased survey on the boundary space of the settlements in Xi’ an Ming City,hoping to find a way to create a safe,comfortable,coordinated and personalized place.First of all,based on the overall research results,divide the types of residential frontage boundary spaces,then choose different locations and different forms of sample space,and use the combination of properties and quantitative research to carry out detailed analysis.Through the survey of the current status of the Residential—street boundary space in Ming City,a series of quantitative index data of the boundary space were obtained,including boundary aspect ratio and interface transparency related to spatial morphology,interface green ratio and boundary openness related to landscape environment,etc.Use the auxiliary methods of image acquisition and image calculation to obtain statistical results of data research,introduce a 20 * 20 m grid as a measurement unit,quantify the spatial scale of different selected objects,and focus the study of boundary space to the level of accuracy.In addition,for the study of three-dimensional space,analyze its functional attributes and spatial vitality,and try to achieve a comprehensive study of the boundary.Finally,the characteristics of different types of residential—street boundary space are summarized and their effectiveness evaluated.According to the conclusions obtained from the overall evaluation,return to different types of residential frontage boundary spaces,and think about the corresponding optimization strategies.It is expected that the spatial quality of the boundary of the residential area will be improved from the aspects of interface,open space,site creation and functional configuration,etc.,to help the development of the spatial structure and landscape environment at the micro-level in the Ming City.
