A Preliminary Study On Landscape Design Method Using Plant Elements To Present Archaeological Sites

Archaeological site parks have the dual requirements of site protection display and recreational environment creation.Plants are an indispensable part of their construction.Archaeological site park plant landscape design cannot replicate the general urban park design principles and methods.It is important to consider how plants are protected and display site information,and reasonably distinguish plants used for site display and landscape environment creation.How the plant elements display the ruins belongs to the difficulties of the plant landscape design of the archaeological site park.In order to better explore this problem,this article attempts to take the Duling ruins as the research object for preliminary exploration.Du Ling is the emperor’s tomb with relatively complete and well-preserved elements in the Eleven Tombs of the Western Han Dynasty.At present,there are certain problems in the current planting,which not only jeopardizes the physical security of the site,but also interferes with the display of the site and the pattern.This paper explores the display methods of using plant elements in the site display of the Duling National Archaeological Site Park through the research methods of literature research,field investigation,induction,and other basic theories,including the protection of large sites,display and interpretation of sites,and plant landscape design.The plant element is regarded as a kind of landscape design element that displays the site’s ontology characteristics,site historical pattern and site historical cultural connotation.The content of the thesis mainly includes four aspects.The first part is the previous basic theoretical research,combing the relevant academic literature and actual cases of the plant element display site,summarizing the specific classification,design components and planting forms of the plant landscape in the archaeological site park,and studying the factors to be considered in the plant landscape design in the site display.The second part is based on the study of archaeological and historical literature to understand the elements,historical structure and layout of the Duling site.The third part summarizes the current status of the plants and surrounding environment of the Duling site,analyzes the existing planting problems in the site,and then evaluates the relationship between the current plant in the Duling site and the site.Strategy.The fourth part explores how to use plant elements to display the Duling site,screen the vegetation suitable for the display of the Duling site,and summarize the design method of the plant landscape to display the Duling site.The paper enriches the design methods of plant elements display sites.It is proposed that the plant landscape design in the archaeological site park site display should first be based on site archaeology and historical literature research,analyze the site archaeological preservation status and evaluate the site value grade,and summarize the site characteristics suitable for plant element display.Based on the site protection and display perspective,the plant assessment principles and remediation plans for the current status of Duling were proposed.The plant elements were explored to display the basic characteristics of the site,history and natural environment,historical pattern and historical plant culture of the site of Duling site.Plants and put forward corresponding screening principles.At the end of the paper,combining the content of the Duling site displayed by the plant elements,we explored the plant types,forms and planting forms selected for displaying the site based on the characteristics of the site and the characteristics of the plants,and summarized the use of plant elements to display the historical pattern of Duling,the site itself and the surrounding environment The design principles,design steps and design pattern language of historical plant culture have constructed a research method framework and technical route using plant elements to display the landscape design method of the site.
