Snowdrift is a nature phenomenon in which air currents carry snow particles in the air near the ground and move snow from one place to another.When snowdrift happening,it will not only lead to the phenomenon of obstructed vision and reduced visibility,but also cause uneven snow distribution on the road,affecting people's normal life.In this paper,field observation,numerical calculations,and wind tunnel tests are used to study snowstorm on the road.The field observation method is used to map the snow distribution of the subgrade section and snow protection facilities.The numerical simulation method is used to simulate the flow field of the roadbed section and compared with the flow field obtained from the wind tunnel test.The numerical calculation method is used to simulate the flow field of the snow protection facility section,and analyze the mechanism of snow proof.The main conclusions are as follows.(1)The closer the windward side of the embankment section to the foot of the windward slope,the smaller the wind speed;on the windward slope,the wind speed gradually increases due to the uplift of the slope;on the embankment surface,the wind speed decreases first and then rises,and the change range Large;at the position of the leeward side slope,the wind speed drops greatly due to the decline of the slope.(2)The overall snow distribution of the embankment presents an "M" shape,with the center line of the embankment as the axis and symmetrical distribution on both sides.From the shoulder to the foot of the slope,the depth of snow gradually increases,and the depth of snow reaches the maximum at the foot of the slope on both sides.The inclination angle of the snow profile formed by wind blowing snow is3°-14°,and it is more economical and appropriate to use 14° as the slope angle of the embankment slope.(3)When the wind and snow flow blows to the snow-proof facilities,the wind speed is gradually reduced by the blocking effect of the snow wall of the snow-prooffence.After the airflow blows through the snow-proof facilities,the wind speed drops when the wind speed is weakened in the leeward side.Snow particles accumulate in the deceleration area,reducing the concentration of snow particles carried by the wind and snow flow.When the wind and snow flow is passing through the deceleration area of the roadbed section,the accumulation of snow particles is reduced because the concentration of snow particles is not saturated,thereby reducing road wind and snow disasters.
