It is more and more widely that the plastic components using in a car.The proportion of plastic components using in the car is also related to the indicators of lightweight vehicles directly.The plastic parts take the place of the steel is a trend in the industry of automobile when design the modern cars.With the improvement of China’s economic level,the automotive industry not only to focus on improving the internal quality of the car at the same time,but also pay more attention to the car’s sensory quality and improved the requirements of the appearance of plastics correspondingly.With the background of the automotive industry improve the requirements of a car continuously.In this paper,the computer aided engineering(CAD),finite element analysis(FEA)and other computer aided engineering(CAE)means are used to solve the problems in the process of automobile designing and manufacture of the injection moldings.As the research object of the quality of products on the storage-box(welds,storms,short shots,cooling imbalance,etc.),through the designing of the product gate and gate location on the storage-box,simulation analysis of the storage-box product about the fill time,the location of weld lines,the location of air traps,pressure,clamp force,the temperature of mold,the temperature of the product,the deformation of the X direction,the deformation of the Y direction,the deformation of the Z direction,the total deformation of all the effects,and so on.The effects help us to defect the disadvantage of our design about the mold of storage-box,and develop response measures to deal with the shortage of product that appear defects after the mold back to the factory advance.And the results help us find the real reason of the disadvantage about the product that produce in our factory.In the stage of mold design,using the idea of irregular waterway to optimize the cooling system in the mold of the storage box.The idea of using cooling water wells is proposed to optimize the design of mold cooling lines,and improve the overall temperature balance of the mold,and reduce the emergence of local hot spots,and promote practical solutions to improve the quality of products about storage box and improve the injection cycle time.This article combines the actual product,the new tendency in the industry of the injection molding,center the company’s industrial production of the real situation,put forward realistic and acceptable optimization options to reduce product injection cycle time,and reduce production costs,and provide experience for reference bout the development of injection molding industry also.
