As China’s 13th five-year plan officially began in 2016,the significance of railway development for China’s transport industry and economic development determines that the railway construction will continue to be the construction focus of our country.In recent years,with the improvement of people’s living standards,high-speed rail turns more and more popular and becomes the first choice of travel for most people.Meanwhile,high-speed rail construction projects also showed an increasing trend in order to meet consumer’s growing demand.Based on this circumstance,how to carry out railway construction projects efficiently and scientifically becomes a hot issue in current industry.However,due to the large number of participants involved in railway construction projects and the complicated communication demands of project information,how to construct an effective communication management system for railway construction projects has become an issue that restricts the construction efficiency of high-speed railway projects.This thesis researched on the communication management in railway construction projects of S railway Bureau.Drawing lessons on existing research results and using tools and methods of project management,this thesis analyzed the existing problems in project communication management of S Railway Bureau.Through interviews with 20 people involved in 15 departments,it is found that S Railway Bureau still has some problems in stakeholder identification,communication planning,information release,communication process monitoring,reporting effectiveness and other aspects,and these communication problems led to serious project overdue and cost overrun.To solve these problems,this thesis reviewed the process of railway construction projects combined with communication model and stakeholders interview.This paper optimized the project communication management of S Railway Bureau through four angles including stakeholder identification,communication planning,information releasing,and progress report,to further improve the overall efficiency of the project.The research results of this paper are expected to provide suggestions and reference for the communication management of railway construction projects.This thesis still can be improved due to the limit of study’s time and author’s ability. |
