The evaluation for the quantity and quality of the greening coverage in a garden space can be accomplished by studying the three-dimensional green quantity of the plants in it,which helps to improve the estimation accuracy for the ecological benefits of this space.Taking five of the typical garden plant species in Ulanhot as the research object, such as Betula platyphylla,Larix gmelinii,et al.,the indexes such as height and breadth,et al.of them were measured through the sample plot and line transect survey method. Then the unitary and binary regression equations were established to explain the relationship between the green quantity and the indexes(height, breadth,et al.)of the species.Through investigation and analysis, following conclusions can be drawn:(1)The average green amount of the five arbor species commonly used in garden green spaces in Ulanhot is sorted in the descending order:Platycladus orientalis(L.)Franco(64.41m3)>Betula platyphylla Suk(46.90 m3)>Larix gmelinii(Rupr.)Kuzen(41.81 m3)>Fraxinus mandshurica Rupr.(31.02m3)>Pinus sylvestris var.mongolica Litv.(23.83 m3)?(2)The unitary regression equations for the five arbor species are:To describe the relationship between the height and green quantity of the Betula platyphylla Suk:L=10.162h-19.713,where L is the three-dimensional green quantity,h is the height, and the goodness of the fit(R2)is 0.859.To describe the relationship between the height and green quantity of the Larix gmelinii(Rupr.)Kuzen:L=7.517h-48.691,where L is the three-dimensional green quantity,h is the height, and the goodness of the fit(R2)is 0.838.To describe the relationship between the height and green quantity of the Fraxinus mandshurica Rupr.:L=17.011h-41.703,where L is the three-dimensional green quantity,h is the height, and the goodness of the fit(R2)is 0.832.To describe the relationship between the height and green quantity of the Pinus sylvestris var.mongolica Litv.:L=1.444h+5.874,where L is the three-dimensional green quantity,h is the height, and the goodness of the fit(R2)is 0.472.To describe the relationship between the breadth and green quantity of the Platycladus orientalis(L.)Franco.:L=51.165g-75.313,where L is the three-dimensional green quantity,g is the breadth, and the goodness of the fit(R2)is 0.934.(3)The binary regression equation for the five arbor species are:To describe the relationship between the height, breadth, and green quantity of the Betula platyphylla Suk:L=10.147h-4.361g-22.978,where L is the three-dimensional green quantity,h is the height,g and the goodness of the fit(R2)is 0.863.To describe the relationship between the height, breadth, and green quantity of theLarix gmelinii(Rupr.)Kuzen:L=6.017h+7.433g-58.265,where L is the three-dimensional green quantity,h is the height,g is the breadth and the goodness of the fit(R2)is 0.878.To describe the relationship between the height, breadth, and green quantity of the Fraxinus mandshurica Rupr.:L=12.795h+10.735g-60.145,where L is the three-dimensional green quantity,h is the height,g is the breadth and the goodness of the fit(R2)is 0.928.To describe the relationship between the height, breadth, and green quantity of the Pinus sylvestris var.mongolica Litv.:L=1.429h-1.006g-12.426,where L is the three-dimensional green quantity,h is the height,g is the breadth and the goodness of the fit(R2)is 0.503.To describe the relationship between the height, breadth, and green quantity of the Platycladus orientalis(L.)Franco:L=25.898h+28.302g-73.706,where L is the three-dimensional green quantity,h is the height,g is the breadth and the goodness of the fit(R2)is 0.890.
