Study On The Present Situation And Countermeasures Of Laotian Hydropower Export To Thailand

Since the reform and opening up,Laos has made great efforts to develop hydropower resources and increase its foreign exchange earnings by selling electricity to neighboring countries.Hydropower has become the third largest foreign exchange earning industry in Laos after the textile industry and forestry industry.In recent years,Thailand's social and economic development has been increasing its demand for hydropower resources.Thailand's limited hydropower resources are not enough to meet its growing economic demand.In this regard,Laos will be able to meet Thailand's domestic demand for hydropower resources.Increase foreign exchange earnings by sending electricity to Thailand to sell.Based on the current situation of Laotian hydropower export to Thailand,this paper analyzes the influencing factors of Laotian hydropower export to Thailand,and explores countermeasures for further expanding Laotian hydropower export to Thailand.This paper mainly studies the policy of Laos' hydropower export to Thailand to understand the basic situation and existing problems of the development policy of Laos'hydropower export to Thailand at the present stage,and puts forward relevant Suggestions for improving the development policy of Laos' hydropower.It is found that the existing hydropower development policies are helpful to make full use of the abundant hydropower resources,solve the problems of people's livelihood,promote economic development and adjust industrial structure.The existing problems are the low intensity of technical support policies,insufficient market policy guidance,incomplete industrial regulation policies and lack of incentive policies for industrial innovation.These problems are caused by the backward talent cultivation mechanism,the lack of concept and ability to explore the international market,the tension between economic development and people's livelihood,and the lack of matching incentive for industrial innovation.In this regard,this paper puts forward some Suggestions to improve the policy of Laos' hydropower export to Thailand,which include strengthening the policy of technical personnel training,strengthening the policy of diversified market-oriented market,perfecting the policy of industry regulation,and perfecting the policy of industrial innovation incentive.
