Plants are the main elements of the garden and the level of plant landscape construction is related to the evaluation of the whole landscape. To create a good landscape requires the guidance of landscape design principles.Evolutionary psychology explains people’s preference for plant landscape from a perspective, which can help improve the theory of plant landscape design.Based on individual trees and trees group as the object, through the way of questionnaire investigation, received 316,381 valid questionnaires respectively, using SPSS20.0 software with the result of questionnaire analysis, discusses the trees under branch height, crown, crown dense degree of ductility, the number of trees and plants, the types of vegetation landscape elements such as color and landscape aesthetic relationship, from the perspective of evolutionary psychology, discusses the penchant for plant landscape.1,through the trees in the form of individual research, the results show that the lower under branch height of trees(46.20%),compare them under high trees(36.23%)was more preferences, dense canopy of trees(64.87%)than that of sparse canopy of trees(24.69%)preference by more people, more branches in the number of branches(50.32%),less trees trees(34.81%)in the number of preference by more people, the trees of the canopy high ductility(44.63%)and canopy of low ductility trees get respondents(42.87%)more similar preferences.2.Through the study of tree population morphology, the results show that: from the perspective of perspective, interviewees have significant differences in the beauty evaluation of pictures of trees with different heights under different branches, and have obvious preference for trees with middle and low branches. From the perspective of close-up,there was no significant difference in the respondents’ evaluation of the beauty degree of the pictures of the tall trees under different branches. From the perspectives of close shot and long shot, there were significant differences in the beauty evaluation of the tree groups with different canopy density, and the tree groups with medium canopy density(fluoroscopy is 30%-60%)and thick canopy(fluoroscopy is below 30%)were preferred. The number of branches did not affect the preference of the respondents.3.Through the study of plant color and vegetation landscape type, the results show that:more respondents prefer red plants(39.24%),emerald plants(31.33%);More interviewees prefer temperate grassland vegetation landscape(40.82%),followed by savanna vegetationlandscape(25.32%).Low vegetation and wide vision are common characteristics of the two types of vegetation landscape.4,based on the relationship between demographic information and plant landscape aesthetic studies, the results showed that the gender, professional background factors will not affect the respondents plant landscape evaluation, different ages, different level of education on the respondents degree of plant landscape evaluation results showed obvious difference, among them,40 ~ 60 respondents and highly educated respondents on the plant landscape have higher requirements.5,according to the respondents to the plant landscape of preference, for tourists to obtain higher satisfaction with the landscape,in the garden plant landscape construction, key landscape area should choose more high dense canopy, lower branches, red or green characteristics of landscape trees,in appropriate application Lin Shui, slope of open area with low vegetation and broad vision of big lawn landscape, the mode of plant landscape construction should be considered at different ages, different demands of different level of education people, close plants and shrubs should retain a certain vision space to meet the demands of tourists outlook.
