With the quality improvement of life, there is growing emphasis on eco-city development, to promote the construction of "green city." The park is the most representative green space of the city, is the city’s main resting-area. Trees landscape is the major component of park, not only can adjusted environment, but also enhance the beauty of plant landscape. Trees reflect the beauty of plants with a combination of individuals. Its application in parkland widely, such as water space, lawn, islands, parterre, gardens, buildings and the corner, the forms are viarty and flexible. At present, researches about plant landscaping, plants for ornamental characteristics, design principles and configuration methods are in the majority, few research studies the relationship between the number of arguments and data analysis,. Most of the trees reserches analysis with the theory of design principles and techniques of art, and less about the design method. In this paper, based on the principle of visual, combined with the aesthetic and ecological principles, analysis from visual perception, color perception, formal beauty perspectives, paper discuss the plant capacity, visual characteristic shape, color, texture, season and other terms; From the plant’s characteristics, the investigation selected 30 trees in Hunan Martyrs Park, Orange Island, collecting data the kind and quantity, shape, color, texture and other of trees, the research analysis from the elationship between scale viewing habits and horizon quantify, species and amount, colors and seasonal colors, form and structure. Based on these two aspects of research, theoretical discussion of the basic principles of the design of the trees, analysis design requirements and methods from the scale, shape, color three areas, in order to provide a reference for beautiful landscape trees. Finally, selecting the trees to transformation.
