Ornamental Fruit Trees In Urban Landscape Design

Ornamental fruit trees plays a unique role in the garden plants, their leaves, flowers, fruit have a high ornamental value as well as the viewing and production function.The increasing value of ornamental fruit trees in landscaping as ornamental, group view, separated by space, decoration, shade, protection, and use and application of the increasingly widespread. Many scholars have done a lot of research on the types of fruit trees, cultivation and application, however, the researchon its landscaping, configuration and ornamental function is relatively less.Based on the results of previous studies, this paper confines the concepts and types of ornamental fruit trees that suitable for landscape design; gives a detailed discussion and description of the origin and development at home and abroad for ornamental fruit trees, addresses the importance of ornamental fruit trees in urban landscape design. Based on a detailed research on ornamental fruit trees in all kinds of green in Nanjing, this paper summarizes the ornamental species of fruittrees as well as the principles and forms suitable for the Nanjing region landscaping, taking theNanjing Liuhe East Gate Park, the Nanjing Airport Road road greening and Nanjing apricot spring creative agricultural Park as three instances gives a detailed analysis, focusing on the innovative ways and means of ornamental fruit trees applications, and how to play the economic value of ornamental fruit trees to show they have special ornamental, as well as how ornamental fruit treesplay their unique role in the plant landscaping and recreational functions as a special garden plants.This paper aims to summarize and organize the practical experience and research of ornamental fruit trees landscape in Nanjing district, raised the facing problems and shortcomings, and toconsider and propose a few possible future research prospects and direction.
