Nowadays,with the rapid development of science and technology,the performance of both civil aircraft and military aircraft has also been greatly improved.However,multiple hazard factors to aircraft are still inevitable,such as lightning,electrostatic discharge.The lightning current in nature is very powerful,it is easy to form a corresponding electromagnetic field,thermal ablation shockwave or discharge arc.These phenomena will cause serious hazard to the aircraft flight.Aviation engineers have made many efforts for the effective protection of aircraft to lightning harm.Based on the lightning protection design requirement of ultrashort wave radios,this thesis analysis on the lightning direct effect and indirect effect on ultrashort wave radio is by means of electromagnetic simulation,and proposes lightning protection design methods from radome,airborne structure,cable,equipment circuit and many other aspects.For the direct damage effect of lightning,the lightning diversion bar on the ultrashort radome is adopted.Through the different arrangement of the lightning diversion bar on the radome,the electromagnetic simulation by CST software was carried on to estimate the influence of the working performance of the ultrashort wave antenna.For the lightning indirect damage effect protection,the simulation of the internal electromagnetic environment of vertical fin during a lightning strike was carried on firstly.Then simulate the induced current and voltage of different cables.Two types of vertical fin and four types of cable was analyzed in this thesis.Protection suggestion of the lightning indirect effect to ultrashort wave radio were proposed from the aspects of the airborne structure,cable and equipment.
