| In recent years,mobile communication system has greatly changed people’s daily life in China:mobile-payment,online shopping,online food ordering,bicycle-sharing and live video streambecome extremely popular.The development of mobile communication system has led to the prosperity of large numbers of upstream and downstream industries,and created a large number of new employment opportunities as well.Mobile communication system has played an important role in China’s national economy.However,China is an earthquake prone country.The previous major earthquakes have always caused severe damage to a large number of communication infrastructures and equipments,resulting in interruption of communication service in large areas,and also resulting in huge economic losses.Therefore,it is of great significance to improve the seismic performance of the mobile communication system and can maintain its service ability after earthquakes.Mobile communication tower is an important part of base transceiver station(BTS).Its function is to send and receive wireless electromagnetic wave and keep communication with mobile phones.The research on its seismic performance is one of the basic works of seismic disaster assessment for mobile communication system.In this paper,a typical communication towerin mainland China,the monopole tower,was investigated.The seismic damage characteristics and seismic performance of the towers with different design wind load were compared and studied.The main contents of this research are as follows:(1)Based on thefinite element analysis software,ABAQUS,the numerical model of a monopole tower(30m high,design wind pressure is 0.35k N/m~2)was established.At the same time,the responses of a monopole tower with the same design parameters as the numerical model under environmental excitation was monitored,and the natural vibration period of the real tower is identified.Based on this,the numerical model was modified to ensure the accuracy of the numerical model.(2)According to the above finite element modeling method,the numerical models of four monopole towers with different design wind loadswere established.The static pushover analysis was carried out for these towers to investigate the damage development process and damage characteristic.(3)The nonlinear time history analyses of the above four monopole towers were carried out.Theseismic performance of these towers was analyzed and compared.At the same time,the influence of soil site type and epicenter distance on seismic response of the monopole towerswas studied. |
