In civil engineering design, calculations and disaster prevention planning, the most influential and most likely to cause damage and even failure of engineering structures is the wind load and earthquake. In this paper, the actual project has been researched, existing finite element software ANSYS has been used for establishing model of steel tower, and the dynamic characteristics, seismic response and wind load of the model have been analyzed, so as to provide a reliable design basis for calculation and analysis. The main contents include:1.Three-dimensional finite element model of steel tower are established, the first fifteen vibration models and their frequency are got by mode analysis. Then it is reduced to two-dimensional model, the quality and stiffness matrix are obtained, and the first three vibration models and their frequency are got with aid of the MATLAB program, which are compared with three-dimensional model.2.Accordance with the "seismic design of buildings" in the relevant provisions, the two natural waves (El Centro wave and the Taft wave) and a set of artificial seismic wave are used for seismic response analysis of steel tower. The structural dynamic responses under three earthquake waves are decided by using the transient dynamic analysis technique, which provide the necessary technical parameter for further vibration control of the high-rise tower structure.3.Calculation method of wind load to tower is studied, the results applied to the finite element model, deformation and stress of tower are got , so as to determine whether to meet the requirements of its lateral and structure in the wind loads are safe and reliable.
