At present, the rapid transformation and development of vehicle design technology and transportation system lead to the increase of vehicle driving speed and also the incidence and severity of traffic accidents.Authorities estimate that more than half of traffic accidents on urban roads and highways are rear-end collisions involving two or more vehicles. At this point,if it is a high-speed rear-end collision,it will cause serious invasion and deformation at the impact site, which will directly affect the survival rate of passengers. If it is a mid-low speed rear-end,it will also cause different degrees of whiplash-like neck injuries and even lead to disability. In addition to this,a bump can also lead to the destruction of the automotive fuel oil system so as to cause fire, spread to other traffic and construction cause serious security hidden danger and economic losses, therefore it is necessary to train the vehicle structure crashworthiness and fuel security testing and analysis of data is prerequisite to effective car body structure and layout optimization measures are put forward. In this study, finite element models of two SUVs of the same type without passengers were built, and Hypermesh was used to divide and optimize the mesh,LS-Dyna software was used to calculate and Hyperview was processed.First validates the reliability of the model, and then according to the north American federal motor vehicle safety regulations new FMVSS301 collision test requirements,to 50 km/h in a low-speed overlap rate to simulate the different two car rear-end collision process, based on the deformation degree of the bodywork, collision energy absorption and the crew compartment acceleration analysis to determine whether the car in the event of a crash when showing crashworthiness, and indirectly, analyzed the collision of the two cars under the condition of occupant injury situation, and then by car at the bottom of the tank of the destruction of the local structure deformation situation analysis crash and fuel security. The results show that: 1)the overlap rate has little influence on the rear-end vehicle's deformation, and the overall deformation of the rear-end vehicle is less obvious than that of the rear-end vehicle;2)the crashworthiness of the rear-end vehicle deteriorated during the rear-end collision with a small overlap rate;3)rear-end collision with larger overlap rate causes greater intrusion on the bottom of the rear-end vehicle, which directly affects the combustion stability.
