Weihui City is located in the foothills of the South Taihang Mountains and is the transition zone from the North China Plain to the Taihang Mountains. It is rich in water resources and has the reputation of "Northern Henan Water City".Wei Hui is an old city, this city was built during the Eastern Wei Dynasty. Its geographical position is superior and the traffic is convenient. It is known as "going south to ten provinces and going north to Beijing".With superior geographical conditions, urban construction has its own characteristics. At the end of the Ming Dynasty,a pattern of "three cities coexist" was formed. However, with the rapid development of the city, apart from some historical sites and several historical and cultural blocks in the old Weihui city, other parts of the city are seriously damaged. The landscape pattern was broken, the old channels of the Weihe River in the city were gradually abandoned and disappeared, and the characteristics of the canal city also gradually disappeared. However, there are not many relevant studies on Weihui Ancient City in China, especially in the field of architecture. This article intends to study Weihui Ancient City from a historical perspective, analyze the prototype of Weihui Ancient City from the perspective of architecture and architectural history, and hope to find a theoretical basis for the future development of Weihui Ancient City. The writer chooses the old Weihui city as the research object in this paper. The main research is the space morphology of Weihui City.In the time span,it mainly focuses on the three historical periods of Ming,Qing and Republic of China, and briefly sorts out the previoushistorical evolution and related literature. It mainly analyzes the urban spatial form from two aspects: macro landscape pattern and micro internal components.First analyze the landscape environment of Weihui ancient city, and then analyze the concept of city construction.Wei Hui leaned on the South Taihang in the northwest, and Weihe and Mengjiangnv River crossed the city. The site of the city is located at the "river-bend" position of the Weihe River. It contains scientific knowledge of ancient feng shui and constitutes an ideal model for the integration of the city and the landscape environment.Secondly,it analyzes the classification of the internal components of the space morphology of Weihui ancient city.Including five levels of city wall system, street and lane system, river system, basic functional area, and node building, summarizing the characteristics of these several constituent elements and their related connections.Because Wei Hui has the characteristics of "Three Cities coexist".The city wall system constitutes the city’s small boundary, and the three city walls’ small boundary and the area between the three cities together form the city’s large boundary;the street system and the river system constitute the skeleton of the city;the internal basic functional area constitutes the city’s cluster domain, and the internal office space of the city resides in the north central and southwest of the city, the cultural and educational space is close to the official office space, and the commercial space is mainly distributed around Beiyandian City,Xiyandian City and Xiguan to Desheng Bridge,as the most basic unit of urban spatial form, residential houses are scattered in the middle of each functional area of the city and prosperously, they are mainly distributed outside the four city gates and around Ma Shi Street;as a symbol of the city, node buildings are often located in important locations in the city.Among theabove components, they have their own characteristics of regional division, but they are closely connected and influence each other, which together constitute Weihui’s urban space morphology. Finally, based on the above analysis of Weihui’s urban spatial form, the "prototype" of the city was found and the characteristics of the city were discovered. Then combined with the current protection status of the old Weihui city, some ideas and suggestions are provided for reference, hoping to make some contribution to the future development and construction of Weihui Ancient City. |
