Trees in residential areas are an important part of urban trees.With the acceleration of urbanization,residential areas have also developed vigorously.Trees in residential areas are the main body of outdoor green spaces in residential areas and play an important role in the construction of urban ecological environment.The research on tree health evaluation is a hotspot in urban forestry and landscape arboriculture research today,but most scholars focus on the health evaluation of ancient and famous urban trees,and rarely study the health evaluation of trees in residential areas.This article takes Hefei as the research area,in Hefei City in 15 different years(1990s,2000 s,2010s),different locations(in the first ring,between the first ring and the second ring,outside the second ring),different properties(commercial housing,Welfare housing,security housing)selected 90 plots in the residential area for tree health characteristics survey,establish a tree health evaluation model,use excel tables and spss21.0 statistical software to evaluate the health status of trees,and on this basis,use ANOVA and multiple comparison methods to analyze different types of residential areas and explore different types of residential areas.Reasons for the difference in health status and the limiting factors.The results show:(1)At present,there are about 50 kinds of trees(arbores)used in residential areas of Hefei,belonging to 25 families and 41 genera.Among them,the trees with higher frequency of application are camphor,magnolia,and privet.(2)Among the indicators of tree health evaluation in residential areas in different sections,7 indicators,such as tree crown shape,partial crown degree,ratio of withered branches and rotted branches,cropped stems,light pollution degree,surface coverage degree and conservation management,showed significant differences(P <0.05),The remaining indicators are not significantly different(P> 0.05).The health status of the trees showed a trend of getting worse from the inner ring area to the outer ring area and then getting better.The specific performance is as follows: 1 ring> 2 ring outer> 1-2 ring.(3)The tree health evaluation indexes of residential areas in different years showed significant differences(P <0.05).The health status of the trees showed a trend of getting better with time,specifically as follows: the community in the 2010s> the community in the 2000s> the community in the 1990 s.(4)There are significant differences in the indicators of tree health assessment in different types of residential areas(P <0.05).The health status of the trees is as follows:commercial housing> security housing> welfare housing.(5)The health grades of trees in the residential area of Hefei City showed a right-biased normal distribution.The proportion of healthy trees was 7.23%,the proportion of sub-healthy trees was 76.10%,the proportion of moderately healthy trees was 14.28%,the grade of unhealthy trees and dying The proportion of grades is relatively low,accounting for 2.14% and 0.25% respectively.(6)The tree health index of residential areas in Hefei is between 0.20-1,The tree health indexes are: within 1 ring> 1-2 ring = outside 2 rings;2010s> 2000 s years> 1990 s years;commercial housing> security housing> welfare housing.(7)The growth of trees in the residential area of Hefei is in a sub-healthy state.Potential influencing factors: planting and cutting,light pollution,surface coverage and maintenance management are important factors that limit the healthy growth of trees in the residential area of Hefei.Appropriately reducing the impact of night lighting,increasing organic ground cover,avoiding excessive pruning and cutting stems,and strengthening tree maintenance management are the guarantees for the healthy growth of trees in residential areas in Hefei.
