Study On Spatial Strategy Of Follow-up Utilization Of Qingdao World Horticultural Exposition Site

Since Kunming held the first World Horticultural Exposition in 1999,as an important urban event,its scale and influence has expanded rapidly in China.At the same time,the following problems are common: a large number of tourists are reduced after the exposition,the utilization rate of site and building is low,and it is difficult to maintain the operation after the exposition.The choice of the follow-up utilization mode of the world horticultural exposition has become the main problem faced by its host city.This study firstly studies the use after the world horticultural exposition at home and abroad,and summarizes its subsequent use methods,which can be roughly divided into three patterns.The first is to take the ecological restoration as the goal and take the post exhibition as the urban green space/park.The second is to demolish the old city for urban development after the exhibition.The third is to upgrade the original green space or scenic spot.After the exhibition,the part will be used as urban park and part for comprehensive development and utilization,that is,urban park + comprehensive development and utilization.Based on the systematic analysis of the garden site planning of Qingdao World Horticultural Exposition,this paper summarizes the influences of Qingdao World Horticultural Exposition on the ecological,economic,social and overall benefits of the city and region.First,it has expanded the city's popularity and improved the tourism system in terms of the overall benefits of the city.Second,in terms of ecological benefits,it has greatly improved the green coverage rate of Licang District,especially the Licang East road.Third,in terms of economic benefits,the built-up area in the east of Licang has been greatly expanded,the real estate industry has developed rapidly,and the population has grown significantly.Fourth,it can promote the construction of regional infrastructure,and increase the density of road network and the accessibility of public transport in terms of social benefits.However,over the past five years,the operation of the scenic spot has not been satisfactory,and all kinds of benefits have not reached the expectations.There are manyproblems in the follow-up use of the site of Qingdao World Horticultural Exposition,such as the lack of follow-up influence and park maintenance,the sharp decline in popularity,and the insufficient use of venue buildings.To change the current situation of Qingdao World Horticultural Exposition and continue to enhance the influence of the garden site of Qingdao World Horticultural Exposition,this paper analyzes its follow-up utilization principles from the perspectives of city,urban area and the garden itself.On the level of urban major planning,the site of the world horticultural exposition park serves as a comprehensive urban park to further optimize the urban ecological environment.At the same time,it has become an important link in Qingdao's eco-tourism consumption system.For the Licang District,the building of an ecological,livable,complete and functional new area in the east of Licang will be promoted.At the level of the park itself,while preserving the cultural heritage of the world park,it focuses on the renewal and utilization of the exhibition park and important architectural space,endows new attractions and improves the popularity of the park.According to the theme of "Let Life Go into Nature" and the principle of follow-up utilization,this paper puts forward the space strategy of follow-up utilization of Qingdao World Horticultural Exposition Garden site.First,in terms of the spatial layout of the city and Licang District,upgrade the site of Qingdao World Expo to an open city park;the undeveloped land or the land that can be transformed around Qingdao World Horticultural Exposition will be controlled and guided from the aspects of function,business type,traffic strategy,etc.,building a regional eco-tourism consumption complex in the north of Qingdao.On the park level,the site of Qingdao World Horticultural Exposition will be upgraded to an open urban park landscape complex and the function of exhibition park will be optimized and the interactive experience will be increased.It guides the renewal and utilization of the building space of key venues,injects composite functions,and improves the building utilization rate.In the future,Qingdao World Horticultural Exposition and its surrounding urban areas will become the combination of open urban park landscape complex and urban eco-tourism consumption complex,achieving the organic unity of ecological benefits,economicbenefits,social benefits and urban overall benefits,which can be used as an example for the host city of the World Horticultural Exposition in the future.
