Since 1958,China has produced the first diesel locomotive.In the past 60 years,it has developed four generations.At present,it has nearly 10,000 units and plays an important role in railway transportation.Diesel engine is the power source of diesel locomotive.Its normal work guarantees the safe and reliable operation of diesel locomotive.Therefore,it is necessary to monitor the diesel engine in real time to detect and solve the problem early.The locomotive diesel engine is a complex mechanical system.The fault sources and fault performances are not one-to-one.Therefore,in order to locate the fault source accurately,accurate data collection must perform on the diesel engine's performance parameters.After compared and analyzed the standard values of the parameters,the cause of the failure can be determined in time.Then a solution can be proposed to deal the problem quickly.For this,this paper designs a set of diesel engine test system based on virtual instrument.The test system is mainly divided into hardware and software.Firstly,the technical parameters and structure of the locomotive diesel engine are briefly introduced to determine the performance parameters of the diesel engine and the location of the collection point.It also presents the requirements of the test system,and the sketch of the overall system as well as designing structure flow chart.In the hardware part of the system,according to the determined parameters to be tested and the use conditions of the test system,it completes the specific selection of the sensor and the conditioning and calibration of the output signal,so that the signal collected by the sensor transmits to the data acquisition card directly.In the system software part,the system is divided into six modules:software initialization module,data acquisition module,parameter alarm module,data storage module,sensor calibration module and data playback module.Through the Lab VIEW development platform,the software control of the data acquisition card,the block diagram programming of the above functional modules and the front panel design of the system are completed.The control interface is simple and easy to use.Finally,relying on the existing resources of the laboratory,it designs and debugs the experimental test system software to verify that the system achieved the original design goals.
