Although Body Control Module(BCM)is more and more commonly used in passenger vehicles and its function is becoming more complicated,beingsubjected to the cost,demand and workplace,theheavy-truck's BCM is more of simple function and low integration.As the post-80s and post-90s gradually joined the heavy-truck driver team,they demand higher requirement for vehicles with respect of controllability,comfort and intelligence.For this demand,the BCM in this article transfers mature technologies used in passenger vehicles to commercial vehicles and designs products that meet the requirements of low cost,clear architecture,modularizedhardware and software and high functional integration.Firstly,this article introduces the working principle of the BCM with the lights and wiper function,and deeply researches the diagnostic protocol based on CAN bus.After detailed analysis of customers's needs and scheme comparison,the article finally determines to develop the system according to optimized centralized control architecture.Then comprehensively considering cost and scalability,this article designs hardware and software in details based on micro-processor R7F7010323 from Renesas.Hardware design includes power supply module,MCU module,input detection module,output control module,CAN bus transceiver module,RF receive module,and self-diagnosis circuit is contained in output control module,and fault diagnosisstrategy is fully illustrated.Starting from software architecture,we apply modular design on each function module.Using examples of turn signal lights fault self-diagnosis and bootloader function,the article expounds the software design of diagnosis.Finally,we tested hardware,software,functions and application,and achieved expected design target after software and hardware improvement and optimization.We integrate electrical junction boxes,all the outputs fault diagnosis and traditional BCMinto new BCM,improving intelligence of system and improving the maintenance efficiency and vehicle safety performance.Also,we usethe smart chip instead ofrelay in most of the output control circuits,improving the reliability of the control.Inaddition,the modularized design of software and hardware is very convenient for transplantation on new products and has very good general performance.
