Production line system is a discrete event system,various random factors will affect the operation of the system,in the production line planning and design stage,technician must fully consider all possible circumstances.As a product of computer development,virtual simulation can simulate the real motion of objects in the computer virtual environment.Accordingly,technicians can simulate the real operation of the production line in the software and find out the emergencies during the operation of the production line,so as to effectively avoid unreasonable planning and design,reduce the design cost,shorten the design time of the production line.Virtual simulation is an important technology of production line research.In this paper,a new virtual simulation tool of production line is used.VUP simulation software was used to research the production line.Firstly,The simulation system of VUP software is studied in detail,and the production system is simulated by combining the actual operation of MPS modular production system.The simulation process is as follows:in the 3d modeling software,the 3d model of production line is established.it obtains relevant equipment data by analyzing the operation process of production line equipmen.In the software action library of virtual universe pro(VUP),it invoke actions to set up the production line model according to the functions of the actual production line.The virtual controller is built inside the software,and the program is written in the virtual controller to control the operation of the virtual production line.Secondly,the industrial robot is an important part of production line to realize high efficiency operation,The simulation of robot arm is emphatically introduced in VUP.This paper mainly establishes the kinematics equation by analyzeing the forward and inverse kinematics of the 5-dof robot arm in the production system.Based on the kinematics equation as the mathematical theory basis,the joint Angle data is obtained so as to the motion setting and Write control program in the simulation software.Then,since the model of VUP can also be simulated by external PLC control,This paper will design its control system,which mainly includes hardware design and software design.Finally,the experimental platform was built so as to carrying out the virtual and real simulation experiments.and PLC was used to control the virtual production line simulation operation in this platform.
