The Contemporary Research Of Color Design On The Theme Of Traditional Solar Terms' Culture

Traditional solar terms are not only the unique culture of China but also a common cultural treasure of the whole world.However,with the rapid development of science and technology in the Internet era,traditional solar terms are gradually being ignored.Therefore,how to regain their vitality through designs and how to use contemporary color language to interpret solar terms' culture effectively are social needs in the new era.The main research content of this paper is to reinterpret solar terms' culture through the contemporary expression of color,aiming to extend the cultural spirit of the traditional solar terms in the emerging design environment.Firstly,it mainly analyses relative theoretical researches and current status of color design practice of traditional solar terms in contemporary context.Secondly,the paper summarizes the contemporary expression forms of the integration of the spatial sense of the gradient color,the coordination and matching of the color overlay,the richness of coor matching in flat design and the graphic design of solar terms,and the contemporary color design techniques of color superposition,blur and gradient.Then,it also expounds the connotation and denotation of the contemporary color design combined with the theme of solar terms culture.Research results should be applied to the design practice ultimately.Based on the previous theoretical researches,the vibrant and unique visual expressions are created through taking the psychological needs of contemporary color design into consideration and combining color processing methods with contemporary aesthetic characteristics.Finally,this idea is applied to the design with the title: The Graphic Design with the Theme of Image·Twenty-four Solar Terms.The design creates a visual representation of the twenty-four solar terms which conforms to contemporary context by means of the color expression diversity.Meanwhile,it presents the color effect with contemporary aesthetic consciousness.The design can inherit and develop the culture of solar terms while meeting the aesthetic needs of the people of the new era.
