The Comparison Of The Code/standards For General Hospital Building Design Between China And USA

As the main body of hospitals in China,general hospitals undertake the four tasks of medical treatment,teaching,scientific research and preventive health care,and have made important contributions to safeguarding the health of the people and promoting economic development and social progress.The development level of China's general hospitals directly reflects the overall development of China's medical and health undertakings.Since the beginning of the 21st century,with the construction of new areas in the process of urbanization,the construction boom of hospitals in China has continued.From the new urban areas of first-tier cities to the new urban areas of second and third-tier cities,large general hospitals have been planned and built.In a large number of construction practices,the construction of hospitals around the country have also raised questions about the applicability of the hospital construction standards,so that some local construction standards have been issued.In addition,in the design and implementation of the hospital,it is generally reflected that the current norms are too general and simple,and there is insufficient information to guide the construction.Due to the lack of normative basis information,the construction of many hospitals relies on the hospital management or special medical suppliers,resulting in different completion effects and even some Settings that violate the relevant medical design specifications.Although the establishment of hospital codes and standards in China initially referred to the design standards of the United States and Japan,the research on the design standards of hospitals in developed countries in Europe and America has not been carried out in China.In recent years,first-tier cities in Beijing,Shanghai and guangzhou have successively introduced European and American medical resources,and are building a number of foreign-funded or joint-venture international hospitals.The counterparts involved have begun to pay attention to the differences between the construction standards of foreign hospitals and those of Chinese hospitals.In addition,China's overseas design and construction general contracting projects have also begun to cut into the field of livelihood engineering from the field of infrastructure,requiring Chinese design and construction units to be familiar with and master the European and American hospital design standards.Therefore,it is necessary to make a systematic comparative study of the construction of Chinese and American general hospitals and the corresponding standards,so as to master and draw lessons from them.This paper discusses the comparison and analysis of China's current general hospital building design code(gb51039-2014)and standard(2008)and American hospital design standard FGI(2014).First of all,a general comparison is made between the compilation ideas of architectural design standards of Chinese and American general hospitals.Then,according to the main content framework described by Chinese and American standards,the selection of key comparison items is carried out,and the comparison of two general items(average hospital bed area index and nosocomial infection control standard)is carried out.Then,in view of the general hospital function part of the standard of China and the United States,from the diagnosis area,hospital,surgery,these three aspects to carry out the research,through the comparative analysis,reveals the general hospital architecture design specification/standard hospital standard similarities and differences with the United States,from the United States FGI the connotations and detailed rules for the implementation of hospital design standard,find out the suitable can draw lessons from part of China,and combining the domestic hospital case research put forward the proposal,design standards provide Suggestions for revision of our hospital,to provide some beneficial reference for our country general hospital design.The comparison between the current architectural design specifications and standards of general hospitals in China and those of the United States is helpful to evaluate the scientificity and effectiveness of the architectural design specifications and standards of general hospitals in China,and to provide guidance for the construction of general hospitals in China.The level of national norms and standards represents the advanced level of the country in this industry.Through comparative research,it is helpful to learn from advanced experience of developed countries,promote the development of industrial standards for the construction of general hospitals in China,provide better hardware and software facilities for patients,and better guide the progress and development of hospital construction in China.At the same time,it is also helpful to bring China's standards into line with international standards,better serve our "One Belt And One Road" project and overseas projects,and improve the international status and influence of China's design and construction project contracting industry.
