Nowadays,low carbon,energy saving and environmental protection are hot topics for discussion.In recent years,due to the increasingly prominent problems of fuel consumption,smoke,carbon deposition and exhaust pollution of marine diesel engines,more and more attention has been paid to other more environmentally friendly and energy-saving power propulsion devices.In China’s energy development strategy,it is proposed to promote"electric energy substitution" in the field of transportation.Guiding Opinions on Promoting Electric Energy Substitution have been issued,and National Energy Bureau of the National Development and Reform Commission has issued "Guiding Opinions on Promoting Electric A series of policies and measures,such as issuing the Notice of the 13th Five-Year Plan for Energy Development,clearly put forward the requirements for promoting the development of electric energy for vehicles and ships.Ship power system "oil to electricity" meets the direction and requirements of China’s energy development strategy.Penglai-Changdao Line,short for Peng-Chang Line,is located between Jiaodong Peninsula and Liaodong Peninsula,serving the transportation of people and goods between Penglai and Changdao.At present,26 passenger and coach ferries are propelled by traditional diesel engines,resulting in serious emission pollution.In 2012,after Shandong Province promulgated the "Long Island Leisure and Vacation Island Development Plan",new policies were introduced continuously,and clear improvement indicators were put forward for the sea area and atmospheric environment of Long Island.In 2018,Changdao was established as a comprehensive pilot area of marine ecological civilization on Changdao,and then the entry of external vehicles was prohibited.The public facilities in Changdao were changed to electrification.Ship pollution became the first pollution source on the island.It is of great practical significance to provide an economical,feasible,low emission and low noise marine power system.This paper takes the existing Pengchang Ferry "Long Island Pearl" as the research object to analyze its power system from oil to electricity.In view of the characteristics of the Ferry such as fixed distance,frequent distance,short voyage,high safety requirement,high emission and large vibration.After consideration,a new energy storage equipment,lithium iron phosphate battery,is applied to the design of ferry.A hybrid power system with battery as the main power supply and diesel generator as the auxiliary power supply is provided,and its safety design is carried out.On this basis,the capital cost,operation cost,voyage cost and financing cost of the Long Island Pearl Ferry are collected and calculated.The net present value of mutually exclusive schemes before and after oil-to-electricity conversion is calculated.The sensitivity analysis and break-even point analysis of the scheme after oil-to-electricity conversion are carried out.Finally,under what conditions,oil-to-electricity conversion is adopted.The scheme is more economical and feasible,and the corresponding break-even point and other data.The innovation of this paper is the introduction of a suitable "oil to electricity" technology path,series hybrid propulsion system.The system is compatible with lithium iron phosphate batteries and diesel generators.The use of lithium batteries can reduce fuel consumption and carbon emissions,shock vibration and noise.Considering the safety requirements,diesel generators are added as emergency power supply to ensure long-term use.At the same time,DC networked electric propulsion system and battery safety design are adopted to ensure the continuity of the system.Secondly,the present cost difference before and after oil-to-electricity conversion is used as the sensitivity analysis objective.Because there are few parameters before and after oil-to-electricity conversion,the calculation workload is greatly simplified by using this analysis objective.Through the design and economic analysis of Changdao Ferry’s oil-to-electricity conversion,this paper provides a set of low-carbon emission,low noise and economically viable transformation schemes for Pengchang Ferry,and provides reference basis and data support for similar routes in other sea areas throughout the country.Its research theory and methods have broad popularization value.
