Study On Compiling Method And Application Of Railway Freight Price Index

Railway plays a vital role in the transportation network of our country.Railway freight rate,as an important part of the transportation price,has been widely concerned by the whole society.For a long time,the price of railway freight has been strictly controlled by the state price department and basically kept stable.With the deepening of the reform of railway freight pricing mechanism,the price of railway freight has changed from government-set price to government-guided price and market-regulated price,and the independent pricing power of railway transport enterprises is gradually expanding.Compiling railway freight price index to reflect the changing trend of railway freight price can not only meet the needs of national economic accounting,but also be conducive to macroeconomic regulation and control,which has positive reference value for guiding transport enterprises to optimize price management strategy and promoting the healthy and orderly development of transport industry.This paper takes the railway freight market as the background.Firstly,it summarizes and analyzes the compilation methods and practical experience of typical domestic and foreign transportation price indexes such as Baltic dry bulk cargo,Yangtze river shipping,China road logistics and civil aviation transportation,so as to provide enlightenment and reference for the compilation of freight price indexes in China.Secondly,on the basis of price index compilation method,from individual,classification index and total index of three levels,build price index system for railway freight transportation in our country,around the price index compiled base involved in determining weights,data collection,calculation,index key steps,such as price index for railway freight transportation plan for study and design;Then,the basic data are collected by the railway electronic ticket system,the sample survey is designed according to the difference of freight price level in different distance intervals,and the price index of all categories of railway freight is calculated by the method of Laplace index.The calculation results are consistent with the actual production situation of railway freight.Finally,analyzed the economic value of price index for railway freight transportation,and with the aid of Eviews econometric software,building the VAR model,analysis of railway freight prices,CPI and PPI index mutual affinity and influence degree,the analysis results show that the rail freight price index and national macroeconomic indicators are mutually promote transmission mechanism.
