Femoral shaft fracture is a traumatic surgical disease,mostly caused by irresistible external forces.Today,factors,like the construction,transportation and aging,increase the incidence rates of femoral shaft fractures.Existing research mainly studies the neurological diseases,such as stroke,and the design of rehabilitation products is mostly oriented to hospitals and rehabilitation institutions and companies.There are few studies on rehabilitation products suitable for femoral shaft fractures and other diseases that require a certain recovery time and are prone to problems.In particular,home products for such diseases is lacking.Postoperative rehabilitation of femoral shaft fractures is a long-term period.Rehabilitation training should continue,hospitalization or home rehabilitation.However,the effective guidance and suitable products have less access to home rehabilitation training for many patients,which has caused healthy problems such as knee stiffness and muscle atrophy,and hindered their recovery.According to the needs of home rehabilitation for femoral shaft fracture patients,this study designed home rehabilitation products for femoral shaft fracture.(1)By the analysis of the characteristics of home rehabilitation scenes and hospital rehabilitation scenes,the author of this thesis identified main factors that distinguish the design of products used in these two scenes.The author also concludes common design principles and proposes the principles of home rehabilitation products so as to provide reference to the further design.This thesis finally summarizes the characteristics of the femoral shaft fracture,the rehabilitation stage and the content of the rehabilitation assessment,which provides reference and medical theoretical basis for subsequent user research and product design.(2)This thesis investigates the home rehabilitation needs of patients with femoral shaft fractures.The author uses questionnaire to know about the rates of home rehabilitation problems and needs,and by users interviews and field observation,the author analyzes the pain points in femoral shaft fracture patients in the whole home rehabilitation and specific training and unlocks the potential for product design.(3)This thesis organizes the user demand information obtained by user research,transforms them into product functions,analyzes the carriers corresponding to each function point,and determine the relationship between these carriers.Then by the analysis of the knee rehabilitation training,the main structure of the product and the range of motion are determined,and the design elements such as modeling and CMF are analyzed.(4)Based on the previous research,design positioning and process of home rehabilitation products are identified.Then the final product design is completed through sketching of the plan,3D modeling,rendering,structural design and functional prototype production.This paper aims to design products suitable for home rehabilitation of femoral shaft fracture patients.Through the analysis of the characteristics of home and hospital rehabilitation environment in the study,different factors affecting the design of home rehabilitation products and hospital rehabilitation products and the design principles of rehabilitation products are summarized.Moreover,the design process of home rehabilitation products based on user research was discussed.From the acquisition of user needs to the analysis of design elements,the product design practice was finally completed.The overall design research process has certain guiding significance for the design and development of home rehabilitation products.
