Study On The Construction Characteristics Of Shandong's Home Garden In Qing Dynasty

As an important part of Chinese culture and a typical representative of transitional gardens,Shandong gardens have their distinctive characteristics regardless of the level of gardening,cultural connotation,and geographical features.Today,however,there are relatively few studies on the correlation of Shandong's regional gardens.Even a few studies have focused on individual gardens,lacking systematic compilation and analysis.The reason is that a large number of traditional Shandong gardens have been abandoned,and a few surviving gardens have been obscured by the reputation of northern gardens and southern gardens.It is not only unknown,but also difficult to develop their own characteristics.Today,while we advocate inheritance and development of traditional culture,we should also look at the whole picture of culture with a broad perspective.We should seize the root of inheritance and development of traditional characteristics,build more research on local landscapes,and enrich and perfect the system of traditional Chinese gardens.In the Qing Dynasty,Shandong's gardens developed rapidly,and its gardening achievements were mainly concentrated in private gardens.This study explores the development of Shandong gardens and the spatial distribution of Shandong home gardens in the Qing Dynasty by summarizing the literature and garden relics.It was found that the Qing Dynasty was the climax of the construction of Shandong house gardens,and its gardens were mainly concentrated in Jinan,Weifang,and Jining.The overall distribution characteristics of Shandong house gardens in the Qing Dynasty were obvious,showing the phenomenon of gathering along railways and canals,reflecting the distribution characteristics of one axis.Through the screening and sorting of the characteristics of the house garden,three typical cases of Shandong house garden in the Qing Dynasty were selected for a comprehensive analysis.Therefore,the construction characteristics of Shandong home gardens in the Qing Dynasty were summarized in terms of site selection,gardening elements,garden functions and construction style.And analyzed the influencing factors behind it.The Shandong home garden in the Qing Dynasty not only witnessed the local political,economic,and cultural development of Shandong in the Qing Dynasty,but also represented the exchange of regional culture in the north and south and the essence of traditional gardens.This home gardens have a high historical and cultural value.Studying the construction characteristics of Shandong home gardens in the Qing Dynasty can not only contribute to the inheritance and protection of Shandong's regional gardens,but also explore the realization of ancient and modern uses,provide theoretical guidance for the planning and design of modern regional gardens,and Communication and development also have very positive significance.
