Tibet is located on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and it has become a “high-order”ladder-like terrain with neighboring areas, and traffic has been blocked since ancient times. The complex landforms and climate on the edge of the plateau increase the difficulty of communication with the surrounding areas. In addition, the mountains and gorges in the region are characterized by complex terrain, sparse population, and vast territory. As a result, the past Tibet's transportation links with the region and within the region are extremely less. The traffic accessibility value is an important indicator to consider the development of the transportation network.Traffic accessibility and its changes play an important role in the development of regional economy and the change of urban spatial structure. And Traffic has become a wind vane for regional economic development.Since the peaceful liberation in 1951,with the continuous improvement of Tibet's road transportation conditions,Tibet's social and economic conditions have also undergone earth-shaking changes, revealing the role of Tibet's highway transportation development in regional economy, urbanization, tourism and other aspects. And the relationship between the two.Based on the basic theories of economic geography and traffic geography, this paper firstly summarizes the general situation of highway traffic development since the peaceful liberation, and adopts the accessibility research method, the accessibility of Tibet highway traffic and the economy and urbanization. The systematic analysis of the impact of tourism development.(1)The ancient transportation facilities in the Tibet Autonomous Region were mainly natural roads and simple plank roads. Before 1954,modern highway traffic was still blank. In order to achieve the goal of peaceful liberation of Tibet, thePeople's Liberation Army entered the army while building roads.By 1958,Tibet had developed over 70 years.By the end of the 12 th Five-Year Plan,Tibet had formed five national highways and 14 provinces.Road-based road transportation network.During the 13 th Five-Year Plan period,a number of highways within the area and outside the connected area were planned, and the road traffic in Tibet will be upgraded.(2)Based on the development of Tibet highway traffic, the ARCGIS was used to analyze the accessibility of highway traffic in Tibet from the perspective of 74county-level units and 7 prefecture-level units. The spatial pattern of the region is centered on Lhasa, with a triangular dominant core area extending to Nagqu,Nyingchi and Shigatse, and a vulnerable marginal area centered in the eastern part of Tibet and the western part of Ali.The city's traffic accessibility is 3 years. The evolution of the road network from 2010 to 2020,the accessibility of the seven prefecture-level centers have more than doubled. After studying the highway effect of the Sichuan-Tibet Expressway and the Qinghai-Tibet Expressway, which are under construction in Tibet and the Qinghai-Zhanghai Expressway, the construction of the expressway has been greatly shortened. The commuting time, the space-time compression effect is very obvious, and the compression ratio can reach about 1 time.(3)There is a clear positive correlation between Tibet's highway construction and GDP growth. With the continuous development of transportation infrastructure, the industrial structure is continuously optimized, and the tertiary industry is rapidly developing and gradually occupying a dominant position;the urbanization process is accelerating. As of 2017,the urbanization rate reached 30.89%,and the towns were mainly distributed around the axis of the traffic line.In addition, with the continuous upgrading of the road network,it laid the foundation for the development of tourism resources and the further development of tourism. The economic growth brought by tourism development has become one of the main sources of regional finance, and tourism revenue accounts for GDP.more than half.
