In modern time the construction of UHV power system promotes the improvement of high-voltage power transmission system in most of provinces and cities of our country.Due to the rise of electric vehicles,distributed energy,energy storage system,intelligent power grid and other technical forms,distribution network will become the new focus of power grid construction in the next decade.At the same time,with the construction of modern cities in China,the high-voltage power grid also extends with the construction of power communication system.In order to meet the three high requirements of reliability,security and real-time of power grid,a large number of optical fibers have been laid for power grid communication.Although this can meet the market demand,it also brings high construction cost.People have studied other alternatives,such as GPRS(General Packet Radio Service).However,after the hot construction upsurge in the power industry,the industry rethinks and looks for the future way out of the distribution communication network,the broad band power line communication technology is put forward again by the relevant research institutions of the power system for its more practicability.This paper introduces the history and current situation of broadband power line communication technology,this paper briefly introduces the structure defect of the existing communication network of the distribution network,the business demand of the power grid,the broadband power supply and the OFDM technical characteristics of the line,expounds its technical principle and applicability in the distribution network.With the improvement of each technical link,the broadband power line communication technology will be more and more widely used.Due to the structural differences between the transmission network and the distribution communication network,this paper uses the combination of experimental test and practical engineering measurement,compared with the mature communication structure of narrow-band power line communication technology,to establish the application model of wide-band power line communication channel,through the analysis and of experimental data,to find out the factors affecting the high-frequency signal transmission.Through the investigation and measurement of the distribution network project in an old urban area of Liaoning Province,it is concluded that large noise will not only reduce the signal-to-noise ratio,but also destroy the establishment conditions of high-speed connection.To ensure that broadband power line communication is in normal operation,it must be sure that the path loss is less than 70 d B.Too many branch lines will lead to high noise and path loss in the process of high-frequency signal transmission,which can be reduced by adding intermediate relay points.The remote network monitoring system of broadband power line communication is designed in this paper,aims to realize the functions of monitoring the whole network,fault alarm,daily maintenance and operation of users,and develop and perfect the relevant system of broadband power line.At last,it is believed that with the improvement of power system communication facilities,the level of broadband power line communication technology will be greatly improved,and it will become the mainstream communication transmission technology in people's daily life in the future.
