In the context of social aging, the demand and supply of disabled elderly care services are seriously unbalanced. The traditional model of elderly care and the development of pension are as two factors to determine the home-care model as a trend of satisfying the disability elderly care in the future. The purpose of this study is to assist caregivers from home-care model to complete tasks, and to improve care efficiency and professionalism, thereby improving the quality of care, effectively utilizing socialized professional medical resources and aged care services, and to advance the level of home care, consequently. This paper researched into the home care of disabled elderly people and explore the factors that affect the process and results: the health status of the disabled elderly, the living ability of the disabled elderly(or dependence degree of care),the cognitive status of the disabled elderly(or the loss of cognitive abilities),and caregivers' professional abilities. This paper further analyzed the general physiological health and mental health status of the disabled elderly and obtained the conclusions of physiological and mental health problems of the disabled elderly, and then compared two methods for measuring the ability of living activities and two methods to screen cognitive loss.Nevertheless,Principles and methods for the development of caregiver behavior assessment scales were explored.By establishing an assessment method for care factors, this paper provides a reference for the establishment of the assessment of the care process and the dynamic changes of the results. This paper sets professional institutional care as a reference, using interactive system theory and PACT interaction framework to compare and analyze care participants, behaviors, care environment and care between institutional care and home care systems, and to develop a reference for choosing available technologies through observation, interviews, questionnaires and other methods those can obtain data and give insight into data in this process. This paper launched the comparison of the relationship among stakeholders between the two models, the comparison of the behaviors in the two care models. Also, the differences between the two caring environments, and the basis for the selection of home care assistive technologies were defined.Through analysis, the design strategy of the disabled nursing home care system was constructed: establishing the evaluation mechanism of home-care factors and designing the service-driven system. The research refined the method to evaluate the factors and established the evaluation prototype for the strategy. In addition, service design theory was applied to improve the design of service part in this auxiliary system, demand list was summarized based on the system design and service design, and the service design prototype was designed.During the design practice, the interactive interface and the detailed design of the auxiliary products were studied further on the base of the prototype. As a result, researches in this stage utilized a method of abilities assessment for disabled elderly.Subsequently, this paper carried a study on the usability test of the interface prototype using PSSUQ scale measurement in the frame of Nielsen usability principle, and the iterated a design according to the results. In conclusion, the researches established a method to evaluate the disability during elderly care process and the result,as well obtained the survey data and analysis results of home care for disabled elderly in a certain urban community, also create the system design and service design prototype, and innovated strategies of systematic design with a support from service design. The design results including designs of products and interfaces were exploited in order to provide an auxiliary design solution for improving the quality of the home care for disabled elderly as to build a better social disability pension environment and system.
