Research About Pass Village Characteristics Along Puyinxing

PuYinXing is the seventh pass in 8 valley pass of Taihang Mountain,it used to be an important channel for economic trade between the plain area and the Mongolian plateau.At the same time,it was also an important barrier to resist the invading foreign nomads during the war.As history has changed,a unique village type has emerged along the road——pass-type village.This paper is based on the research of PuYinXing recorded in?Essentials Of Geography For Reading History?in the Qing dynasty,sorting the types of villages along PuYinXing and determining the scope of the pass-type villages,exploring the evolution and development of pass-type villages along PuYinXing and excavating temporal and spatial distribution and defensive features of pass-type villages along PuYinXing.First,in the study,based on the geographical and historical background of PuYinXing,exploring the functional changes of PuYinXing and the types of villages along the line,and gives examples;Secondly,this paper starts from the source of the pass,which is formed by the pass-type villages.Through the formation process and development process of pass,a thorough and in-depth study is made on the forming process of pass-type villages and their roles and functions in the development of PuYinXing.Analyzing the current situation and development of pass-type villages along PuYinXing;Finally,the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the spatial and temporal distribution and defensive characteristics of the pass-type villages along PuYinXing are carried out,and the mutual verification is based on each other.According to the definition and statistics of the pass-type villages along PuYinXing,the attribute database is established,and the GIS spatial analysis technology is used to complete the analysis of the geographical characteristics and influence radius of the pass-type villages and to fully explain the temporal and spatial distribution of the pass-type villages;By analyzing the evolution,site selection,physical and spiritual defense and other characteristics of the pass-type villages along the PuYinXing,comprehensively explaining the space-time defense characteristics of the pass-type villages.Simultaneously,we can see from the quantitative analysis that due to the defensive requirements,the pass-type villages along PuYinXing are located in site selection with poor demand for the slope direction,and at the same time,where the slope is higher and the elevation point is higher,which coincides with the result of qualitative analysis.PuYinXing is an important historical and cultural line in China,in the protection process,the protection of pass-type villages will become the top priority.At the same time,with the development of "Beautiful Country Construction" in our country,the study of the characteristics of the pass-type village needs to be put forward and developed urgently,and will surely become the cultural support and theoretical basis of its planning and development.
