Automotive electrical connectors are the basic components for electrical connection and signal transmission, which are widely used in automotive electronic systems. Its reliability and performance are closely related to the safe and reliable operation of the systems. In the process of automobile driving, the automotive electrical connectors often bears various harsh environment conditions.Among them, the excitation of bumpy road is one of the main vibration stress, thus the contact performance is affected. Therefore, this paper studies the impact of road bump excitation on the contact performance of automotive electrical connectors.Firstly, based on the analysis of the structural characteristics of the electrical connectors contacts, the theoretical model of the contact force of electrical connectors are constructed and the test method of the contact force is studied;Secondly, the MATLAB/Simulink modules are established to simulate the bumpy state under the actual working conditions and the road spectrum reproduction is realized by six dof platform;Thirdly, the test scheme of the bump vibration of the electrical connector of the automobile was developed, including the settings of vibration excitation condition, the selection and installation of the test sample, the test content and the test procedure and so on;Fourth, completed the hardware and software design of automobile electrical connectors bump vibration test device;Fifthly, the influence of the different road speed on the performance parameters under different road bump conditions is analyzed by the experimental data.
